Ok Hotel, Great Vacation Nevertheless
Reel Treble maker Dec 1, 2009
For a four-star hotel rating I found it lacking. The bathroom doorknob was completely broken, missing parts, and wouldn't ... lock. The coffee machine was also broken. The vent/heater produced so much dust that I was up all night coughing. Other than that the staff at the hotel were very courteous and professional. The hotel is located in a very odd place, having to make loops around the highway, one wrong turn sending you back on a freeway. I wouldn't choose this hotel again if traveling to Aurora or Denver, Colorado. Other than that the sites were fabulous. Weather was chilly but nice. Overall trip was great. Would have stayed in a different hotel though.

The food is very high priced and the buffet for breakfast sat around for a very long time before we got to it. It was discolored and gross and we were charged $9 a piece for it. There are plenty of restaurants near by but don't bring anything back because there is not a fridge to put it in.

Uneventful Stay with a Pet
Colorado Camper Aug 19, 2009
The staff was pleasant and helpful. I signed up for the Red Lion R&R Club, and, thus, we were not charged an additional fee ... for our dog. A light rail station is within walking distance of this hotel, which makes for easy access to downtown. The bed was comfortable, and we did not find the hotel to be especially noisy. We got a good night's sleep and continued on our way in the morning.

Great hotel without the food
Hungry visitor Aug 15, 2009
I stayed at this hotel with my fiancee for a week. It was close to denver and major highways. If you are unfamilar with the ... area, it is very confusing trying to get in and out of the hotel. If you google or mapquest driving directions it starts you on Parker St. which is not where the hotel is located. It is located off a Vaugnh way which can be reached from Parker. The room itself was wonderful. Nice, clean, and spacious. The only downside I found was that there was not a fridge or cooking facility for me to buy or keep food. The food at the hotel was very expensive and after trying the breakfast buffet we had to eat elsewhere. It is close enough to eat at many locations. The ammenities were great with access to computers with the internet, pool, and laundry. It was a good stay but with the frustration of the food and driving directions, I may pass if I did not get such a great deal on the price.

Nice Location
Personal Travel Monger Jul 31, 2009
I paid extra for the nicest king room the hotel offers. However, I was placed into the typical king room the property has. ... I asked about it with the hotel, but nothing changed. Also be very aware of the location of Vaughn avenue when finding the hotel entrance. If you follow the signs to it, then you will immediately find the entrance, regardless of how you reach the area.

Quick to Travel Jul 27, 2009
Proximity to Cherry Creek Park was best thing. Room wasn't ready at designated check-in time. After 45 minutes waiting, ... settled for room we had not reserved. Room had items missing - regular coffee packets, bars of soap and wastebaskets weren't emptied from previous guest. Horrendous experience in dining room for late breakfast on Saturday morning, July 25th. Had to get up to get own menus. Had to get up to get own napkins. Had to get up to request check. Food on buffet was plentiful for some items, sparse for others. When we arrived, three tables were occupied and during the time we were there, only one additional party entered the dining room. We did come to the dining room at approximately 10:30 a.m. Hotel was very near the freeway, but difficult to access because of the proximity. Room was quiet, comfortable, but sorely in need of an update. Registration desk staff were friendly and helpful.

We were in Denver,Colorado for romantic getaway. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. I read the reviews before booked it. ... And mojor complain was noise from the nearest highways. We didn't have any problem with noise. The only annoying thing was to find the hotel: it was hard even with GPS. I loved my room with king bed, perfect matrass, crystal clear white linen, clean bathroom, big TV. The hotel definitely has good cleaning serice. the location was pretty good- 20 minutes to downtown and 35 minutes to Colorado Springs. I would come again and recommend it to friends.Good place for the price. Good thing - parking is free and WIFI also complementary!

Ignore your GPS's directions to turn right once you are on Vaughn Way. Instead, go straight for a short distance to the hotel entrance on the left.
--Ron, Punta Gorda, FL Jul 3, 2009
The hotel sits across the street from a nice natural park with a lake and hiking trails. Pretty much all other activities must be driven to. For travelers on foot, this means a taxi or other service. I was told that shuttle drivers could make stops at the mall or restaurants when they weren't busy. Unfortunately, they were busy.
