Situated in the new technology development district. This modern area of Barcelona is near to the Olympic Port, only 10 minutes walk from the beach and very close to the city centre. Location: in one of the new areas with the largest growth in Barcelona, the so called "district 22", the centre of construction for companies focusing on new technology. The hotel was spotless inside and out. The service was great the food in the restaurant was very good. The hotel is not in ... the middle of the city however, we enjoyed the peacefulness of the area we were in. There was construction outside but you never heard it inside the hotel.

there were two very good restaurants close by.there city map available in the hotel was not available in english therefore i ... could not read it. passes with discount for the hop on hop off bus tours was not available to all the guests which would have been an additional attraction to the hotel if it was available

A friend of ours lives in Barcelona and she informed us that the custom is not to tip for service at restaurants unless you get extraordinary service. As a tourist, this was great information because we had a waiter outright ask us for service tip and we knew that was not the custom, he was just trying to take advantage of a tourist. Also, I would highly recommend that you DO NOT use Bacelona Turismo for day tours. We went on one and it was horrible. When we complained, they refused to refund our money.

Unbeatable deal

Confortel Barcelona was a great hotel for us. It was in a quiet area close enough to get the benefits of city center without ... the hustle and bustle. The hotel was a couple of blocks from the metro station which took us directly into city center and all the main areas and there was a bus stop one block away so transportation was very easy. I would recommend this hotel for the price, accomodations and location.

The hotel itself was nice - clean room, free internet, good breakfast, friendly staff.. Our only complaint was location - it ... was quite a ways off Las Ramblas which was where most of the activity takes place (restaurants & night-life). There was a train-stop approx 4 blocks away which was very helpful.

Our Barcelona travels were enhanced by our stay at the Confortel Barcelona Hotel. The location is close to the beach and not ... far from the metro Llacuna station (L4). We asked for a quiet room and they gave us one on the top floor. It was spacious, clean and very quiet with great views of Barcelona. Views from the pool area were also wonderful. Staff wss friendly, helpful and attentive. At night we took walks along the nearby Rambla Poble Nou to the beach where there were was a promenade.

Take a short walk to the metro station - L4 line. Hotel is near the Llacuna station. Buy the 10 trip tickets at a discount. Walk along Rambla Poble Nou and along the beach to Barcelonetta. Beautiful views. Restaurant options everywhere.

The hotel staff were not very "warm and friendly." It felt like you were disturbing them if you asked a question. The hotel ... pool was SO SMALL. The pictures of the pool on the internet do not describe it correctly. Most of the time there were not enough sun bathing chairs for the people. The positives were it was a 10 minute to the beach and the rooms were very modern and clean. The breakfest buffet was wonderful. They offered a wide variety and maintained stocking it. There is a metro stop 10 minutes away, but it is not safe to walk at night. It offers a direct connection into the city center (5 stops away). This hotel is ideal if you are looking for the beach only. It is not nearby any restaurants or attractions.

I took a walk by the beach close to the hotel. For day trips, the closest subway is about a 10 min walk away, can get to ... anywhere in the city from there. The hotel itself is very satisfying, you can also walk to restaurants and shops within minutes.

Don't try to park near the hotel, just park on a street close by and walk there. There are some construction going on around the hotel and is impossible to get to by car.

travel with daughter for study abroad program. Hotel was very clean. it took a long time to check in upon arrival. We had to ... wait for 5 1/2 hours with no early check in. Most of the staff was friendly however the initial staff members we met were not very friendly or helpful. This was the first trip abroad I have taken. over all the experience was very nice.

The Hotel is a short train ride to Las Ramblas. It was quiet and they provided a decent Breakfast.Definitly would stay ... again.One block north of the Hotel is another "Ramblis"Where the locals go. Much less people and money

Pros: Very clean, modern, decent price. Had to print out a copy of my airplane boarding pass in the morning, and they let me ... slip behind the desk to do it. Quite helpful. Cons: Hotel sign outside was being held together with string, looked like it had just gotten run over by a hurricane or something. Also, not at the fault of the hotel, we were woken up multiple times per morning by loud construction nearby. Reservation was for a full bed, but instead we got two twin beds - not very conducive to cuddling.

There's nothing to eat anywhere near this hotel, definitely have to take the metro a stop or two away to have any real options.

The hotel was a beautiful, contemporary hotel. Very modern, clean. A pleasant surprise and a great value. The room was very ... spacious and the bathroom was a place to relax. The free minibar was an extra plus. However, our stay was still pleasant. Unfortunately, my son had to make a makeshift bed on the floor.
