A very enjoyable experience as it is a place that is not too classy and makes the regular guy feel at home. The baffets are ... very good, especially for the price. I would very much like to come back to the Palace Station a couple times a year. Thanks

Dolph Nov 20, 2009
When I checked into my room I was disgusted! It smelled terrible, the bed was caved in and the bed spread looked nasty, the ... floors dirty... So I called the front desk to ask for a different room. I was told that the "package" deal was for the "courtyard" area and if I wanted to upgrade to the tower it would be an additional $20/night. I was already upset that there's an extra fee in the fine print with these "packages" but it was late and I didn't have it in me to complain any more. I should've just stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott. It probably would've been the same price, but I can trust the consistancy of their quality and service. To be clear, the tower room was much better; very clean and a good housekeeping staff, however, I'm not likely to stay at the Palace Station again. [...]

Hotel and the Fees
Neil Nov 18, 2009
The hotel for the most part was good. The rooms are clean and nice. The only part that is not right is the added hotel fees. ... To me its like stealing money from you. I even told them I will not be using any of the services they charge for and it did not matter. I would rather see the fee added into the room cost instead. That was the only down side of the trip was the HOTEL SERVICE FEES.

Excellent Hotel for the price
Ray from Virginia Beach Nov 5, 2009
My ten day trip to Las Vegas involved seeing friends, playing tennis, and attending a concert. The location of the Palace ... Station made getting around to everything very easy. I have stayed at the Palace Station before, usually in the courtyard rooms, but this time stayed in a tower room. I enjoyed the tower room even more than the courtyard rooms and will stay there again. I used the exercise room seven times while I was there ... and it was always clean with plenty of towels and water available.
Traveler type: Single
Rent a car if in Vegas for more than a few days. Rental car rates are inexpensive, and having a vehicle makes getting around a lot easier. Using I-15 to by-pass some of the traffic on the Las Vegas Blvd is helpful ... but the longer you are in Vegas the more you will learn how to get around and avoid traffic.

Good value for the price.
Dave Oct 31, 2009
The price of the rooms is very reasonable, except they tack on an "occupancy" fee of about $18 per night, nearly doubling the ... cost of the stay. You're also on the far north end of the strip, so it's best if you have a car, otherwise you need to add $8 to $10 for a cab each way, unless you really like to walk (which I don't). Also, always upgrade to the tower rooms, they are apparently newer and worth the extra money. The casino is fine (nothing spectacular), and the restaurants are fine (except the buffet which is hardly worth the $12 cost). This is the second time I've stayed here with a car and it's well worth it. The staff is friendly, the rooms modern and clean, and it's a good overall place to stay.

I took other reviewer's advice and booked a tower room. It met all of my expectations. The most outstanding feature of this ... hotel was the friendly, helpful staff. I stayed five nights and every staff member I met was courteous, kind and considerate. Additionaly, several went out of their way to assist me. I also enjoyed the wonderful made to order omelets at the breakfast buffet and the "chips and salsa" (includes hot bean dip) at the Casino's Mexican Restaurant.

Great deal! We stayed for 2 nights and it was only 20.99 dollars a night (W/O Tax). Free shuttle service to/from the airport ... and the strip was a plus! $14.99 (W/O Tax) resert fee seemed little too high but it includes a few good amenities. We stayed in a tower room, which was very clean, modern and comfortable. We will definatelly go back there again!

Nice location but service charge for the internet and phone was a rip off. They don't inform you that they charge a $16.99 ... extra charge for each day you stay...

Don't stay here or at least in the courtyard rooms. Choose the tower instead. Shuttle runs every hour and a half to the strip so it is easier to get a cab. I would recommend that you stay on the tripor downtown.

Bargainhunter Oct 21, 2009
Great tower room. Nicely renovated. We didn't spend much time in the casino itself. The pools, located in the Courtyard ... part of the hotel, were small and very motel-like. The Courtyard and the Tower are night and day, in terms of cleanliness, modern features. The Tower rooms are WELL worth it. We ate at one of the big restaurants there- the food was cold and tasteless, but the service was very friendly.
