Had a great time, very clean. Helpful staff and nice rooms. They offer great gaming, and fun gaming card privledges. I would ... like to go back again soon. The only complaint that i found was that the buffet was horrible, but they have a food court that offers much more varity then you will need. They also had a movie theater, arcade and bowling alley.

watch the fees!
Tony Aug 16, 2009
Overall the hotel is OK. The staff was friendly and efficient, the rooms clean. I was insulted however to be charged a ... "hotel convenience fee". This fee was mandatory, and was charged at check out in addition to the price of the room. The fee ($15/day) equaled about 2/3 the price of the room itself. When I questioned the hotel staff about the fee, they stated that it was for free local and 1-800 calls, access to the workout room, in room Internet access, daily local newspaper etc: all things that are free at other hotels! Considering the fee, the rooms were not even equipped with coffee makers, nor free coffee! As a commercial pilot, I stay at hotels 15 days per month for the past 20+ years, and I have never seen a fee for those items. What's next, charge for use of the air conditioner. Maybe they would call it A/C access fee!

I felt safe, the room was quiet, except for some people's room doors, that don't quite shut when you close them, so they have ... to slam them and it's really loud.Friendly counter reception, clean rooms. I asked for adjoining rooms and was accomodated, I like the price assurance guarantee, although I think I got a good price.

bingo buff Jun 17, 2009
The people were all very friendly and courteous. My family really liked the restaurants and the lunch buffet was fabulous. ... I like Bingo so that was really great that I didn't have to leave the hotel for that. The pool was lovely, restful area and always a pleasant breeze to cool us off. This is the second time we have stayed here, and , in spite of the cost to go downtown or to the strip, we don't plan on staying anywhere else. Best place we've stayed in all our trips so far. Hope they can get a shuttle service someday.
Traveler type: Family
Take a cab to the Palace Station and then you can take their shuttle to the strip. From there transportation choices are many. Cuts about $10 off a trip each way.

Nice place for family or business travel
Adam Pletcher May 16, 2009
This hotel/casino has the feel of classic Vegas. As a business traveler I loved the fact that I could run down and grab ... everything from Starbucks to Quiznos or a burger from Fatburgers (open 24 hours) in between working. The rooms were nice and quiet (another plus for business travel). Oh yeah, the buffet is AWESOME and affordable. I've stayed at three different casino/hotels in Vegas this year alone and Texas Station was the best over all. I even took time to catch a movie (Wolverine) at the in-house theater. It's all about convenience and quality. One final note, they have a play center for kids and my impression is it'd be a nice place for family vacations as well.
Traveler type: Business
Like I said, the buffet is not only affordable but the food is hands down the best of any Vegas buffet I've ate at so far.

A Place without the Stress!!!
Sports Fans May 8, 2009
We came to Las Vegas to bowl in Nationals at Cashman Center. We were so glad to be staying away from the Strip and ... downtown, because the freeways are a mess. Getting to and from Texas Station was quick and easy. We love the open feeling of the casino and all the activities available for the whole family. My husband stays at Texas Station every spring and fall when the NHRA is in Las Vegas and loves his home away from home,no stress parking, eating and the rooms are clean and quiet.
Traveler type: Couples
We ate at both the Coffee shop and the buffet for breakfast and found them both delicious and quick service. If you play in the casino you rack up points that you can use towards your bill which makes your meals very affordable.

Just an OK place to stay.
squirlgal1 Apr 22, 2009
I stayed here because the total cost of my stay was inexpensive for a last minute trip to Las Vegas. The hotel is just OK. ... What I did not like is the additional fee of $12 a day that the hotel adds on. I didn't have a computer with me, so the wireless internet was useless to me. as was the in room phone and the fitness center. At the very least the internet should be an optional charge. On a higher note, the buffet for breafast is fantastic.

Fine for What We Needed
SC Bound Mar 4, 2009
We were visiting family and had occasion to be in Las Vegas for eight days and Texas Station was the most convenient location ... for us. Several things were plusses--the morning newspaper always came with coupons for half-off buffets which we used for breakfast each morning, there were various fast food places within the casino, such as Quiznos, Diary Queen, etc. so we could control eating costs that way, the ten movie theaters, 60 bowling alleys, kids arcade gave us nongambling diversions and the Hershey bar, Oreos, and microwavable popcorn in the room were all nice extras. In addition, the entire staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, fairly spacious, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The negatives include a sound machine alarm clock that never worked and an air conditioner that was way too LOUD. You probably don't want to go walking around the neighborhoods surrounding Texas Station either, it's on a very busy highway with some run down neighborhoods in close proximity. But, for us, this was a convenient place to be and once in the room, quite quiet and comfortable. Would I stay again? Well, if Texas Station would bring in FOX NEWS for goodness sake, we'd think about it!!!!!!
Traveler type: Couples
Check your gratis morning newspaper. We used the coupon in the paper each morning, so a buffet breakfast for two cost only $6.00. Not a bad deal!!! There are always coupons for the brunch/dinner buffets also. In addition, some nights we bought a Quizmos sandwich up to our room and were quite satisfied.
