Palms Place weekend stay
dman Dec 13, 2009
Awesome hotel, especially for the price on the weekend. The only qualm I would have is its distance from the strip. No ... really easily walkable because you have to cross the highway..but about a $15-20 cabride if you dont mind that. Sky tube easily walks you over to the Palms which I feel is one of the better casinos that I've been to and there is a lot to do there including all the clubs, shows, and food. Overall a great stay. Had A BLAST
Chris Nov 2, 2009
This place was a far walk from the main palms, but it was worth it. Who cares that you're a little bit off the strip, there ... are 4 nightclubs that were a TON of fun we ended up here every night (although we left and started elsewhere on Saturday). Our hotel room came with 4 vip passes to one of the the clubs which was a sweet way to shut down Saturday coming in late and bypassing the main line.

The hotel had a wonderful, helpful staff. The staff is what makes the hotel. The hotel itself was very orderly and the room ... and bathroom were extremely clean which makes it very important when traveling with small children.

Fantastic place to stay!
sara smith Oct 11, 2009
Palms Place is great for younger couples. There is modern decor, Rojo bar in the lounge, and complete studios. The music in ... the hall and elevator were a bit loud for our taste, but the room was very quiet. The staff is very friendly. I visited the spa for a massage and it was fantastic and very relaxing. It was too cold to visit the pool, but it looked very nice with cabanas and a pool bar. The rooms all have a full kitchenette with a dishwasher, stove, and microwave which come in handy if you have a night in. There is an indoor walkway to Palms casino and food court which is great. It is off the strip, but still close if you want to go there.

Very cool hotel...
Classy Sep 8, 2009
Upscale modern rooms with excellent amenities. Comfortable bed and linens, fabulous mini-kitchen, luxurious bath area, 2 flat ... screen TV's, spacious sitting area and balcony with excellent views of the strip and pool. The hotel is located off of the strip, so a cab ride is needed to most locations, but there is plenty to keep you busy at the Palms campus. Clubs, excellent dining choices, shopping, pool, spa, casino, etc...A very hip hotel that is a bit more upscale than the standard rooms in the main tower. Not your father's hotel!

Romantic couple getaway
Chiriqui mami Sep 7, 2009
My husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary there. We wanted to be far away from the strip that we wouldn't have ... that 'party' feel; but close enough to it we could enjoy the buffets, shows and other sightes. I throughly enjoyed the quiet calm of the hotel and really like how the skywalk would take you to the Palms casino if that is what you wanted. I will stay here again, especially using online sites to book a studio. Spa treament was a little pricey but well worth the couple's message package

The rooms are great. We were celebrating our anniversary and were given a nice room with a view. Checking staff was very ... helpful and allowed a late checkout after a night of gambling. Unfortunately, their in-room-dining options are not that great. Overall a good hotel but located a taxi ride from the strip (about $10 to bellagio).

Nice view, long walk to main hotel
RoadWarrior Jul 27, 2009
I fully enjoyed my stay at the Palms Place. Just make sure you realize it's not one of the main towers of the Palms. These ... rooms have their own kitchen and are ideal for a couple. For me with a friend, the king-size bed was not so great. On the other hand, you do have a balcony overlooking the Strip, something I have never seen in Las Vegas. The room was very nice and had all the ammenities needed - with the TV in the bathroom, you do have a total of 3 flat screens. My biggest complaint would be that you're quite removed from the real Palms and its towers. That's nice, if you want it to be a little bit more laid-back, but if you're going for the true Palms experience, book a room in the towers.
Traveler type: Business
Playboy Club and Casino is very nice, even if the crowd has gotten a little less exciting these days. Still a casino with a view over the strip, or a club that opens its roof at night is hard to find - give it a try.

Great Under-35 Oriented Vegas Hotel
Frequent Gambler Jun 18, 2009
Palms Place is a great hotel to stay at in Vegas when under 35 years old. There is a wide array of gambling options and ... always something to do. The club, Moon, is on the top floor with amazing views of the strip. The pool is ridiculously nice. The only downfall with this hotel is location. Off-the-strip means you have to cab it everywhere, which can take a toll on the wallet. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends who are not new to Vegas and do not care to walk the strip.

If you're hungry and don't feel like paying an arm and a leg for room service, there's a 24 hour fast food joint right across the street. If that's not good enough, use the kitchen area in your hotel room to your benefit and make your own meal.
