A 4 star hotel for a cost effective pric
Cost Conscious Traveller Feb 7, 2010
The staff at the Atlantic City Hilton maintained a professional attitude, but were very personable. The hotel room was very ... clean and the view was beautiful. The fact that you get to wake up to the sunrise over the ocean, offsets the fact that internet service was not complimentary. The view of the was excellent for the price paid for the room. I would recommend the Atlantic City Hilton for anyone that is looking for a 4 star hotel that comes with a great view. The location of the hotel was situated in a good location.
Traveler type: Business
If you are working in Pleasantville, NJ, I would recommend staying at the Atlantic City Hilton, due to the fact that Pleasantville is an unsafe area and has been designated as an UEZ (urban economic zone) by the State of NJ, which is an area full of crime and poverty.

Decent Stay
The Honest Reviewer Jan 31, 2010
My wife and I took the Aces train from Newark, NJ to Atlantic City for the weekend. The train broke down and we wound up ... showing up 1.5 hours late. I wanted to call but it is IMPOSSIBLE finding their phone number or for that matter, getting them to answer it. The rooms were nice...it's no Borgata but then again, neither is the pricing. I will guarantee you will have, at the very least, a peaceful night of sleep. However...the pillows they have might as well be made of concrete. But I called Housekeeping and they brought up feather pillows immediately. It was also great to have access to decent dining even at 3 AM. The people are the only problem. Given the price point, the clientele is not exactly the same as you may find at even Trump. I wish AC had a hotel that was truly more middle of the road but obviously cause and effect are to blame for this one. DO NOT pay for the gym. Seriously...don't pay for it.

DISAPPOINTED
OMEGA Jan 26, 2010
The trip was for enjoyment and although i had a good time they gave us had a murry bed so we asked for another room which we ... got hours later. The bed covers were old in both rooms and there was spots on the rug the T.V. didn't have alot of channels to choose from so after our first night we agree to cut our stay short and left early not staying the 2nd night which we paid for so we check out sunday afternoon. I will say that i have indeed stay in better rooms for the same price, but the rest of the hotel was very nice.

Very nice hotel, clean and rooms were quiet. Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed. Two resteraunts were closed for remodeling ... but the others provided good dining experiences. Pleasant, efficient staff. Check in took 1/2 hour but check out was only minutes. Overall a great experience, we are planning on returning in the future. Overall best value on the boardwalk by far for quality accomodations.

Sand Jan 18, 2010
Good value for what we paid, check in was very fast and efficient, bit disappointed when told we could not get Hilton points ... for our stay. Did not try any restaurants as we hate elsewhere, great breakfast diner at the Chelsea Hotel. Our room was very clean and chamber maid staff was effective. Hotel is situated at the end of the strip, a bit of a walk to all other hotels/casinos however weather was beautiful on Saturday and made for nice long walks along the boardwalk.
Traveler type: Couples
One block from the Chelsea hotel for a terrific breakfast / brunch, cab driver from the airport recommended we try White House subs which we did on our way back out to the airport, well worth the stop over! Overall there were several affordable options for meals and the value and quality was excellent everywhere we went.

Good for a last minute trip
JH Jan 14, 2010
Our trip was a last minute decision to go to Atlantic City. The Hilton was the best price for a boardwalk large casino ... resort. However, It is located at the most southern end of the entire casino chains on the boardwalk. The next closest is Tropicana, about a 1/3 mile north of the Hilton. Good-- The front desk service and check-in/check-outwas quick and efficient. They offer unrestricted in/out parking for $5 with one transfer voucher. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and simple. Bad-- The casino is old with limited table games. Few restaurants to choose from. We planned on using the indoor pool, but it smelled very chlorinated. There is a gym and spa.
