Had to taxi to Century City and to Hollywood and to just about everywhere. Will stay closer to the main sites next time. The ... hotel is nice, the restuarant is OK - very expensive for what you get though. The decor includes very subdued lighting throughout the facility. Staff were nice. Rooms are nice enough but not spectacular or memorable.

Some great places to dine in Century City - check out the mall. Also the Boa Steak House.

14 is an outstanding resturant that everyone should go! This is for adults...the food is amazing and you will find yourself wishing you could eat there everyday!

Diddy Riese Cookies in Westwood. For $1.50, you get a scoop of ice cream between two fresh cookies. Don't be intimidated by the line (I counted 20+) of people stretching down the sidewalk at 10 PM. It is worth it!

Great location & attentive service.
College mom Sep 21, 2009
I had a brief stay at the Hotel Palomar while dropping my son off at UCLA. The location was perfect for both the campus and ... the village of Westwood. The staff was both friendly and attentive to our needs. The room was spotless and very comfortable. I will definitely return!

It was OK
Tom S. Jun 15, 2009
The contemporary decor was appealing. All staff members we encountered were accomodating and friendly. Upon registering, the ... receptionist was personable and asked me about the purpose for my stay in a conversational way. She seemed genuinely interested. When I needed a boarding pass printed, they seemed happy to do it. The complimentary wine service in the evening was hosted by a very nice man, and the wine was good. Out dirty glasses were collected but not replaced. We had to call guest services to get a hair dryer. We wanted to check something in the phone directory, and discovered there wasn't one in the room. Upon checking out, I found that I had been charged $16 for something I had not taken. The charge was removed without question or dispute. Too many issues for a two-night stay. OK place, but probably will look for a better place to stay in West LA.

The Polomar is LA's Best. Period.
Cattlehands May 2, 2009
The Palomar Staff made me feel like I was their most important guest. AND they did it all while smiling. The hotel is, ... naturally, beautiful since it is a Kimpton. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are among the best and most restful. The staff was definitely having a good weekend while I was there. Front desk, restaurant, valet, in room service-they all were friendly and affable. From now on, the only place I'll stay is the Palomar when traveling to LA.

The Palomar was close to my business. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The lounge chair was very ... uncomfortable. The desk chair was the only thing you could use to sit on other than the bed. The staff was pleasant. The pool is small but I didn't need it. I would stay here again only because of the location.
