For an older Hotel, that has changed hands, the price was suitable. The staff was friendly. We were upgraded to a Kidssuite ... which was great: kids enjoyed the bunks and their own room.

Check in was fairly quick. Didn't care for the vacation/special offer treatment before I could get my parking passes, but ... that's orlando for you. Room had an odor to it when I was finally able to get the card to read properly. Was told the bar at the pool would be open and it wasn't. Don't think the restaurant was either the whole weekend. Looked like they spent all their money on fixing up the lobby. The room served it's purpose. Beds were decent and halfway comfortable. TV had a chip in the screen. Overall, wasn't too bad for the price. Restarants were close and not overly priced.

disney bound Sep 16, 2009
We didn't expect a lot since the price was pretty low, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was big & looked as if ... it had been recently upgraded. It had a big flat screen TV, kitchenette, kids area, & big bathroom. It was also very close to Disney. The only complaint was that there was some construction going on & the restaurant was closed for renovations. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Laura Sep 15, 2009
We needed a place to stay after spending 15 hours at Disney. I asked for late check in - and it was late. We arrived at 2 ... am. The desk clerk saw us drive up, came to open the door for us and called me by name. We had stayed at the Disney Resort Dolphin on our last trip to Orlando, this room outclassed theirs. The beds were queens (Dolphin had doubles)the furnishings were lovely, the TV a huge flat screen on the wall (Dolphin hasn't upgraded yet, their bathroom was so small the door didn't open fully, and the AC didn't work well). This facility was 1/3 the price of the Dolphin and significantly better - in looks, comfort, and amenities.

perfect alternative to disney properties
Happy Dad Aug 20, 2009
At the inexpensive price I paid I certainly was not expecting a lot. I was extremely pleased by its convenient location. ... Literally a few minutes from Walt Disney World properties and much less time to get to the Parks compared to staying within Disney and waiting for the shuttle bus. Great to have a rental car anyway so that I could go shopping and go out to dinner and not be restricted to the Disney property. Had a large refrigerator with freezer and microwave so I could stock up on supplies at the grocery store just across the street have regular food and fresh fruit and vegetables. Also has a McDonald's right next to it which was nice for my son. He loved the kids suite concept with his own television and his own semiprivate walled in kids area. some of the paint and surfaces were a bit old and not in perfect shape, but the brand-new furniture and flat screen TV and new countertops really were nice. Again much much more that I expected for the price and perfect location. I did not use any of the on-site amenities such as the pool, we were at the Disney Parks all day long. I would definitely stay here again as long as they don't raise the prices too much.

Had trouble finding it as name on building did not match. Tub was damaged, Refrigerator was broken, sink handle was lying on ... counter and various other issues. Staff was friendly and attentive although the front desk returned the luggage cart to service even though I showed them it was dangerous and asked them to fix the busted wheel and loose supports. It was clean and shelter enough.

The Baymont Inn & Suites
Kari Jul 22, 2009
We arrived at the Baymont Inn & Suites formerly known as the Days Hotel after a very long day at Disney World. The ... receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the lobby was beautiful since it was recently renovated and as for the cost, you get more than what you pay for. The 42 inch plasma was a plus,as were the fridge and microwave which was included in the price (I paid $50 for one night). The beds were extremely comfortable and the air conditioning very cold! (A BIG plus after being in almost 100 degree weather all day). You get 10% off if you eat at the Denny's that's right by the hotel if you just show them your hotel card key. The only bad thing I'd have to say which isn't even so bad was that it was a bit hard to find because it was behind a shopping center I believe. Also, the complimentary continental breakfast was going to begin 2 days after I got there. So for future travelers who stay here you'll be lucky to have free breakfast! Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time I visit this area!

You don't really need to put the parking pass in your car, I don't even think they have anyone checking for that. Skip the lady by the lobby that says they have discounted tickets for Disney World.

We had four in our party and there were always only 3 sets of towels every day we were there. I had to go to the lobby ... myself to get the towels they did not deliver them to the room. The proximity to the Disney Parks was EXCELLENT! Great location! I would definately stay there again!

CJ Jul 16, 2009
We booked the hotel for a last minute Disney getaway. The lobby was very impressive but the hotel was under renovation ... including the restaurant. Elevators were dirty and run down. The room was clean for the exception of the bath tub that had a lot of wear. It wasn't too bad for a last minute booking on a holiday weekend.

Jami Jul 14, 2009
When I checked in, this hotel was Days Hotel Maingate. When I checked out, it was Baymont Hotel and Suites. Hmmm...... We ... stayed at this hotel for a week. The lobby was quite impressive. The rooms were not. Our first room was clean, but on the third floor, facing the street. I did not feel safe, so the next day, I asked for a room change and got one on the first floor, in the courtyard. My second room was not as clean and always had mosquitos and gnats flying around. There was also mold on the bathroom wall. I didn't want to keep changing rooms, so we stuck it out. I liked the location of this hotel, as Disney parks were only about 10 minutes away and Universal parks were about 25 minutes away. The staff was also very courteous and helpful. It would be been nicer once the renovations are done and the restaurant opens.
