Great Location in Oakland
DRThomas Frequent Traveler Dec 2, 2009
I was in Berkeley for a meeting and found the location to be perfect for a short drive to the meeting hotel at the marina. ... The location just off the east end of the Bay Bridge was perfect for easy access into San Francisco, visit to Napa Valley and not that far to return to the SF Airport. Lots of shopping within walking distance of the hotel and the trails along the bay are also nearby.

Good for the price paid
WK Sep 8, 2009
I think courtyard is a good choice for the price paid. Clean room with view of Emeryville or SF bay. Mine is facing ... Emeryville. There is a shopping plaza with high end stores and restaurants next to it - that makes dining easy. However, I am not too thrilled when I learned that I need to pay extra $9 for parking. I thought that should come with it, but that seems to be the case for most of the hotels in SF.

Great all around!
amy Aug 7, 2009
We checked in late and everything was great. Lots of retail shops and resturants in within walking area. On-site parking is ... around $9 a day. I didn't want to spend $$$ in San Fran, so went to the burbs to get a better deal. Husband and I drove into the city for a day's worth of site-seeing. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Close to Starbucks, Shopping and Movies
Traveler C Jul 20, 2009
This hotel is conveniently located near shopping, movies and Starbucks. Our room had an exceptional view of the bay and San ... Francisco. It was a bargain compared to staying in San Francisco. The room was small, however, and staff had to be asked to make up the pullout and bring towels to accommodate my son.

Very Nice Hotel
Jack Aug 24, 2008
The Courtyard by Marriott Oakland Emeryville was very comfortable and convenient. Close to shopping. Beds were extra ... comfortable. The entire facility was clean and well-taken care of. The only minor negative was that the gate to the guest parking area often didn't work reliably and it was sometimes necessary to buzz for someone to open the gate. Overall: excellent stay.
