Not So Easy to Settle In!

We had visited Grand Forks to watch the NDU hockey game. Thank goodness we didn't spend much time at the hotel. It was small, ... we never received our cot, and told they were out of extra pillows. There was a wait time of about 10 minutes in between showers because the bathtub would not drain. The fire alarm went off the morning of checkout. Yes the front lobby looks good, but beyond that...YIKES!

Rooms and pool area were filthy. Continental breakfast area was crowded and dirty also. Deck tables in the pool area had ... mold growing under the plastic table top. There was paper and garbage floating in the pool. It was pretty disgusting all the way around.

WE WERE VERY DISSATISFIED. WE CHECKED OUT AFTER THE FIRST NIGHT. THEY SAID WE WOULD GET A FULL REFUND. THE ROOM HAD A SINK ... COUNTER TOP THAT WAS LOOSE. WE COULD HEAR THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. THE POOL WAS CLOSED. THERE WAS NO HBO. THERE WAS NO IRON AND IRONING BOARD. SETTLE INN STES IS MISS LEADING BECAUSE THERE ARE NO SUITES. IT IS A STANDARD MOTEL. WE WERE THERE FOR A FAMILY REUNION AND OUR 40TH ANNIVERSARY. I WILL BE CONTACTING YOU FOR A REFUND.

4 star hotel was a dump

Stayed here because Orbitz site listed this as a four star hotel. It was the crummiest dump I have ever had to stay in and I ... am over 50 so I have been around. Room was dirty, despite advertsing as a non smokin room it stunk like an ashtray, everything was old and worn, TV looked like it was built in the 70's, was an embarrassment to me that I had put my family in the place.
