The Best Western Iwo Jima is half a block away on the right. From: Washington, DC downtown. Follow Constitution Ave. west towards Virginia. Continue over the Theodore. Roosevelt Bridge and merge onto Route 50 West. Take the first exit on the right (Rosslyn/Key Bridge). After the exit ramp move to the left lane and turn left at the first traffic light. When we arrived, we were greeted by very kind and helpful professional staff. We were given a set of keys, and informed that ... parking was free and in the underground garage. We had a change of rooms, since the original room had a bad smell, hard bed, and the TV didn't work. Our 2nd room though was very nice! The bed was very comfortable, the TV/cable worked, floor plan was nice, heat worked, and it was very clean. Area: Restaurants and the Metro are just around the block. A bus stop also boards at the front of the hotel. The neighborhood appeared safe, though not very well lit. The hotel was VERY close to the city, and literally walking distance from the Iwo Jima memorial. Next time we visit Washington D.C., I believe we'll try to stay in this hotel again.

Washington D.C.'s sales tax is about 14%. So if you want to save money on food, either bring your own meals, or eat in Virginia. Also, parking can be tough in town. Taking the Metro/subway is really easy, doesn't cost much, fast, and safe. Plus you don't spend money on gas & if you walk some ways down, instead of walking back to the car, you can jump on the metro from where you are and return straight to the hotel.

Great location near DC. Used super shuttle and metro to town and didn't need a car. The room was very nice, included a ... microwave, and refrigerator. It had a small restaurant but there were several places to eat within a 5 - 10 minute walk. Easy walk to Iwo Jima memorial and Arlington Natl Cemetary.

From the moment we arrived, the customer service was perfect! We were welcomed and the front desk clerk was helpful with ... directions to the nearest metro station (10 minute walk) and to plenty of food options (10 minute walk) or a restaurant right next door. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. And a flat screen TV, wireless network, and comfortable bedding. Only missing thing was a breakfast of some sort, but with plenty of options just a 10 minute walk away, I would stay there again.

the best aspect of this hotel is the onsite restaurant. the room was okay but had ants. i had ants all in my belongings and ... they treated the room with raid. something i could have done. the staff was not helpful. i had to follow-up several times to get anything done. another resident did not have hot water. you are definitely getting what you paid for and it is not worth it.

Good value for the area I guess

The hotel rooms were a bit small. My closet, evidently an exception only had half a bar to hang cloths on and the bathroom ... counter was half the size of everyone elses. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them. The hotel seemed old and small rooms, not much space between the bed and desk or chest of draws. It was however very convenient to Arlington Cemetary and the Monuments which was why we were there. All in all it is a nice place and I would recommend it.
