Laughlin Harrah's Review
Bill Nov 6, 2009
Overall was ok but, upon check in, that was not good. I thought I booked a resv with 2 for 1 buffet, Harrah's advertized a ... two for one & I didn't get either. C/I clerk was polite but short. Not interested in hearing why I thought I should've had the 2 for 1. No relaxing bars/lounges, just casino bars.

The beach access was conveninent. The pool amenities were great! It was only a one night stay but fun and relaxing. The ... teenager was able to hang out in the arcade to pass the time while we were gambling. It was decent for a quick family getaway but definitely better for the adults. For the price, it was fantastic! It also didn't hurt my feelings that we won at the tables.... :D

Need Customer Service Training - FAST!
Daisy Oct 5, 2009
I dont think we will EVER stay at this hotel again! I do have to point out that this hotel is nice, had clean room and the ... location was ok. But i did not get the room i requested. The so called "manager" that checked us in needs customer service skills. These are his exact words... "we are a casino not a hotel. we make money in the casino not off the hotel. if you want a good price and to get the room you asked for you need to sign up for our rewards card. If you would have made your reservation with us we would take care of you because you are OUR customer and we take care of our customers, but you reserved with a 3rd party. Next time you should call and find out if we have a special event so that you can reserve your room around that and reserve months in advance so you get what you requested." The night manager was also rude and talked down to me when I asked for a late check out. I dont know if it was my age or race , but I was truly not happy with this place.

Small room. View of other casinos during the night was nice to look at but the windows were dirty. The bath tub was the ... best...very hot water that never ran out. Not a whole lot of tv channels! Watching a movie in your hotel room costs 14.99. King bed was nice but pillows were uncomfortable. Buffet was good.

Nice and inexpensive weekend getaway. Hotel has great river access for sunbathing and reading a book. We stay at Harrah's ... Laughlin at least twice a year and each time the trip is relaxing. Except valet is always overcrowded and slow. Much easier to self park and walk.

Service in the Blue baja cafe was awful the food in the buffet made me pretty sick. The pool had so much chlorine in it also ... the hot tub sucked not jets just bubbles comming out. And around the pool area they had a awful sewage smell you couldn't hang around on one side of the pool without getting sick from the smell. The room was nice and also the beach was great. The hotel was very clean. Unfortunately the pool and hot tub adult area is why we book there and had to spend most of our time at the beach. Wasn't worth the money we spent on the hotel.

Mrs. Flowers Sep 8, 2009
I paid for two rooms at Harras. We got there before the check in time and they were able to give one room. The room had rusty ... sheets with other stains and the bathtub looked nasty. They fixed the bed sheets but they couldn't do anything about the bathtub. So while we waited for the other room we went down to the private beach they have for the guests. That was really fun and relaxing. When we got the other room....it was worse. First of all, the keys they gave us didn't work. Someone came up to open the door, but since my husband forgot his ID & they didn't tell him he needed it, he had to go back to our room and get it. Mean while, my family was waiting in the hall and the employee said that he didn't have time to wait. After complaining to the manager, whom didn't care much, they opened the door to the room. I was disappointed to see that there was still trash in the room. I carton of beer with trash in it. There was no point in complaining again because the manager didn't do anything to fix the problem. Before we left, we stoped by the Avi Resort and Casino.. I got really good comments on it. I will never stay at Harrah's again only because they have really bad management.

Since the rooms were trashy, we didn't even want to eat at Harrahs buffet. Instead, we walked over to The Nugget and ate at Joes Crab Shack. It was really delicious and customer service is great.

Elevators are slow! So, if you don't get a room on the lowest floors, book on an upper floor. We were on the 17th floor. We just hit the "up" button and rode a couple of floors up and then went down to the Casino level. We passed others on our floor who were waiting for an open elevator that was going down. Some people waited 15-20 minutes to find an open elevator going down.

The buffet is great! Lots to chose from. We were seated in a few minutes. The buffet lines were fast moving and the food was fresh.Delicious! We usually do not eat buffets and I am glad we tried this one. The other thing you should note, the restaurants close early during the week. Therefore, if you want to catch a great dinner at one of the restaurants, plan ahead. When they say they close at 9:00 p.m., believe them. We showed up for dinner at 9:20 p.m. and they would NOT serve us. "THEY WERE CLOSED."
