Good Value When Not Fully Booked

This extended stay has a smaller kitchen than other ESA hotels and much smaller than Candlewood Suites which is fully ... stocked. There was only a micro refrigerator instead of a full size refrigerator. There was only a shower instead of a bathtub with a shower. Only the direct entry channel selection worked on the universal remote control which is inconvenient since I didn't know which channels were available. I asked for a channel list at the lobby which took a while to get because there was only one front desk clerk and many customers. When I finally got the list to the room, it turned out the list was outdated.

Web site stated and pictures showed FULL kitchen and nice bathroom with a tub/shower ...ha ha ha ...not a chance. I even ... CALLED and ask about the kitchen ...they LIED. Room was postage stamp, kitchen fridge a JOKE "mini" thing with 1 ice cube tray and NO other ice anywhere, and no room for the frozen stuff I brought. Bath was a tiny little shower only with a limp curtain where a door should have been. So much for the nice soaking bath I had planned ...NOT. Because I had pre-paid to get their "special" (ha ha) rate I had paid in full in advance so I was STUCK. [...] Not to mention someone tried to GET INTO MY ROOM at 2am, I was terrified, I screamed and screamed and they left. Fortunately I had my extra lock in place. DO NOT be fooled by pictures and the outside of this place, MOVE ON. There is another ESA about 1 mile away, MUCH nicer. I'll be spending my money there next time.

I enjoyed my stay for three days in this hotel. The kitchen is convenient for use. The beds are firm and comfortable. I was ... told the hotel is not located in a nice city or area. However, I felt safe in the hotel and close to Freeway 405. It seems to me the refrigerator is too big and noisy. A small one should be enough for travellers and will be quiet. I didn't find a shelf where brochures and flyers on local attractions are displayed.

Location was ok but bathroom needed to be cleaned. Mattress on bed was torn. Room smelled bad had to purchase Lysol to spray ... down room and clean bathroom carpet dirty and smelly had to purchase sandals to walk on room. Used my own pillow and sheets from home. Their sheets and pillows had hair on them from other guests. That's nasty!

For 37 dollars a night I wasnt expecting luxury, so for what I paid I cant really complain. Located near the major highways. ... It was clean, and peaceful so no complaints. Just dont go there expecting luxury.

Pros: This place is quiet, and close to the beaches,and just about close to alot of places in the large Los Angeles city. Has ... a nice little kitchen, convenient if you need to heat a little something or just use the kitchen, complete with dishes. Cons: The bathroom didn't have a shampoo so bring some with you, the room had a small bad smell so i don't know if all hotel rooms have a smell but i got used to it. The pictures advertised here are a little deceiving get the two double beds if you can because the single double bed is a very small room only for one person room. Overall it was a nice quiet and restfull place.

This is my first stay at ESA, but I.m so disappointed at this location. it was so bad. so dirty. the first room I had was so ... smelly (dog's poop) and then I finally got a second room. the second room was also smelly and I found a long human hair on the bed sheet. since I got this room from Orbitz and it was pre-paid, I knew I could not get my money back. so, I did not tell the staff to change it again. I just slept with my clothes on. I just said to myself. I will never stay at ESA again. At around 2am, the fire alarm went off. everyone got out for 1 hour. The electric room on second floor caught a small fire and made smoke. I know this is an accident and it could happen anywhere, but Hotel never said sorry to guests. I could hear everything from the room next to mine. the price was reasonable, but I don't recommend this place to anyone. this is a place for someone who is resting for few hours, or to take shower and leave, but not for someone who is staying over night. it stinks everywhere dirty everywhere. made me sick.

I had to changed to another room because the air did not work, then that room the microwave did not work Trying to get ... assistance from the staff was impossible and they could not provide a receipt which I need for business purposes and wer quite ugly about it.
