the hotel was very clean and in a beautiful setting, however the walls of Breckenridge building were paper thin, and the ... "event center" tent was in our backyard, as well as delivery dock. The booming from DJ at wedding reception held there, and drunk persons running up and down halls and banging on our door at 2:30 am, were anything but restful!!! Housekeeping also skipped our room one day.

St. Pete Beach 2009
Lovemylilbean Oct 19, 2009
The hotel was nice. Clean rooms. The view from our room (standard parlor room) in the Breckenridge building was of a ... parking lot and a rooftop with empty bottles...but we weren't in our room a whole lot so it didn't bother us much. They tell you in the description of the rooms what it overlooks, so we knew what the view was when we booked it. The resort itself was beautiful. Cabana's were free, and they provided beach towels for you. Drinks were pricey, but you could also have your own liquor at the resort too. Check in time is a 4pm, so that was a bit late. Wish check out time was later than 11am...noon would be better.

Right on St. Pete Beach. Tremendously appointed and a true resort. Much more than a hotel. All the amenities at your ... fingertips. I have stayed at many hotels on the beach at St. Pete but this was, by far, the most luxurious (though I never stayed at Don Cesar).

We did not like the extra fee we had to pay for "activities" I think parking should be included while being a guest at the ... resort. Also we had a 1 1/2" roach in the bathroom when we arrived. We brought it down in a drinking glass the only comment we got was "Oh that's a Palmetto bug". The next day the glass was not replaced by house keeping. The one bright spot was the gentleman manning the paddleboat. He was very polite and wiped down a wet seat before we got in. He's a keeper! The room we had was Quite noisy. At one point it sounded like there was a construction crew next door.

The hotel was rated 4 star AAA and I agree. The location on the beach and landscaping around the facility was beautiful. ... Families with children will love the the planned programing provided by the activity director. The beach front beach front location is lovely but beware of the additional resort fee charge per day. Additionally, check your room location, ours was over a parking lot not a pretty sight. However, the hotel was willing to upgrade our room for an additional fee. The hotel did not appear to be fully booked, a complementary upgrade room would have been nice. That being said, over all this property was among one of the nicest we've stayed at.
