Bearable
Kris Sep 16, 2009
Stayed 6 nights to get my son settled in CalPoly. My room was very small and had dirty old carpet and dirty chairs. To use ... the microwave, I had to shut off the TV, AC, and frig! The bath tub drain would not shut, so no bath. Shower head was good as was the supply of hot water. Bathroom fan did not remove any steam, so my room was alway humid. Back half of the hotel overlooks a dumpy RV storage lot boarderd by train tracks.

Not-So Quality Inn
Supersavy Sep 10, 2009
This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life! Motel six is better than this the view is an old boat junkyard, ... the room smelled a strong odor of cleaning products there was bugs in the room. Overall I would never recommend anyone to stay here especially at the price pay the extra fifty dollars and stay somewhere better!

Do not stay somewhere cheaper to save money just pay the extra price and have the convenience of being closer to the town and beach area!

Terrible customer service
Traveler Sep 7, 2009
This is a perfect example of getting what you pay for. It was the best price of all hotels and a decent location. ... Unfortunately my room smelled like cat urine and I thought I could deal with it but it was a horrible night because there was no screen on the window and the window was right on the main walkway so I didn't feel safe leaving it open at night. At 8am in the morning on my way to breakfast I saw that the maid had just finished cleaning a vacant room next door and so I asked the front desk if I could move to another room. She said the maintenance man would have to approve it. He went to the room, decided it didn't smell that bad and told me I would have to stay there. He said he would spray it and then it wouldn't smell anymore. I begged him to let me switch rooms and he flat out refused. I contemplated taking the sheets and pillows and sleeping in the car, but instead decided to head home early. I definitely would have paid the extra $20 to stay at a nicer motel because in the end I wasted money on an entire night that I didn't use. It was my first time ever asking for a room change and I thought that most motels would be apologetic that I had to suffer one night and perhaps grudgingly switch rooms since they clearly had available rooms. But not at this motel. This staff has no idea what customer service is! And also the free internet is an unsecured network, so if you are ok with your computer easily being hacked into, then go ahead and use it.

Small Room, No Hot Water, but nice spa
Ocsteven Aug 11, 2009
Shower faucet was not working properly. I jumped in to a cold shower in the morning. Call the office, they sent the ... maintenance guy. The guy gave me a long spill on how pull the knob in certain way will dislodge the shower valve. Due to time constraint, we didn't have time to fuss with switching to another room since we woke up expecting to shower & head out. When we check out, all the front desk can do was just apologizing and wish a nice day.

Value for the Bucks
Ric Jul 23, 2009
Staff were great, room was very quiet, and had all I needed (coffeemaker, hairdryer, frig, micro, iron, ironingboard). I paid ... $75 w/tax. Looked at another place on the beach that went for $ll9 that I wouldn't want my dog to stay at. Last time I stayed in Pismo, trying to save a buck, the place I ended up at smelled like curry, and had cockroaches......I'll definately choose this place again.

Espo Jul 19, 2009
The Quality Inn is next to the Outlets and other shopping right off Highway 101. There is all sorts of food with a few ... minutes walk. The room was a good size and the staff was great. The pool facility was also good with a waterfall jaccuzi. The price was ok too. The carpet was stained and the shower fixtures were loose. It dripped as well. No VCR/DVD capability in the room but there is wi-fi. Would we stay there again? Yes.

brana Jun 5, 2009
This was a great deal. The motel offered everything you could ask for. They weren't' stingy with the pillows, they provided ... 4 pillows for a queen size bed. The bed was comfortable as well. The shower curtains were very clean. You can tell that the motel was old but the recent renovation made it comfortable. They even offered a complementary toiletry item in case you forgot to pack something for free. I feel that they went the extra mile to try to build their reputation. What I did not like was that before checkout time, I turned in my key. I found out soonafter that my car wouldn't start because of a dead battery. The girl in the morning did not let me borrow her phone to call a 1-800 number to call the auto club. She didn't even suggest that I could us my room even thought it was paid for until 11:00AM checkout time. I had to walk to the gas station to call the auto club.

Clark Gable May 2, 2009
We wanted a cheap place to spend the night because we were doing a road trip. Our room was in 101 (right next to the office) ... and heard every drawer that was open. Every time the door shut next door it woke us up. The night stands had sticky substances. Overall it was still good. Customer service was great.
