Great staff, okay facilities
Kenny Dec 12, 2009
The staff were extremely helpful inside the hotel, although the shuttle bus will NOT take you to the terminal when you are ... departing. This didn't bother me, but a family was traveling with a ton of luggage and they had to get off at the AirTrain and mess with all their luggage and a baby and some of the other passengers on the shuttle had to help them because the driver really couldn't care less. It was just a lot of trouble for everyone. The rooms are pretty old for a Wyndham hotel, although the staff seemed to maintain the place as best they could. It could really do with a renovation. The shower was okay, sheets clean, lots of pillows, TV worked, etc. Altogether okay and the price was pretty good.

Call the shuttle bus AFTER you get to P4, otherwise it will just leave without you before you get there and you'll have to wait for it to go to the hotel and then come back.

The hotel was nice but not as nice as the description on the website. The room was very clean but very small and they do NOT ... have Bath and Body Works products in the bathroom like the description said. The description also mentioned an indoor pool which we could not find. There was a seasonal outdoor pool but we didn't have time to swim anyway. The shuttle did run quite frequently and we used it alot.

Carry maps of New York City and maps of the subway system along with the lists of which subway runs which way. The subway system in NYC can be VERY confusing and I wish I had been better prepared.

Good Place to Stay for the Price!!!!
Stormin' Traveler Dec 6, 2009
The Hotel staff were very nice a friendly upon arrival. The staff was very friendly and gladly answered all of the questions ... that we asked. The rooms were very neat and well kept. The only thing lacking was the room could have had a refrigerator in it to store bevarages. There wasnt much noise with the exception of other people coming in during the night but it wasnt nothing compared to most hotels. I would definately recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

Happy-go-lucky in MO Nov 29, 2009
My husband and I found the hotel to be exactly what we needed. A nice, clean room at just the right price. The only downfall ... was the occasional plane flying over...light-sleeper beware. The restaurant was good and inexpensive which was also a nice feature. We were there to do a little sight-seeing in New York and the shuttle provided transportation to and from the airport which made it easier to reach transit and was a wonderful option!

Thanksgiving stay
The traveling family Nov 29, 2009
It was a nice hotel, kind of old but served its purpose. The rooms were kind of small, we started out in a King Bed room but ... with our child we had to switch to a double bed room because we thought they would have a sofa sleeper. To get a roll away bed they would add $10 but to switch was the same price. None the less the twin beds were not comfortable for the two of us but for what we paid we can't complain. The bar was ok but the resturant was expensive.

The staff was nasty, the business center was the worst I've ever seen in my life."Pay for" computers that download at a ... turtles pace. It took me $10 just to send out a few emails even though $10=50 minutes. It takes 2 minutes just for the screen to come up. I had the "Do not disturb" sign at my door and some Amazon cleaning lady was banging on my door like a psycho( to see if I needed service)READ THE SIGN! Never again.

Great stay... horrible internet
Snoopy Nov 12, 2009
Overall hotel was very very nice. Seems to be recently renovated so definitely a bargain for the price. Rooms were tastefully ... decorated with an assortment of pillows and a pillow top bed, very clean, and very nice staff. I asked for a quiet room away from the noise of a group of teenagers and they were more than happy to comply. Also there is a decent restaurant that will deliver to the room for a $3.50 charge. And fitness center looked really nice. My only complaint is that their internet access is extremely poor. They advertise free wireless access but my computer had a very hard time maintaining a connection in the room. There is no ethernet connection in the rooms so only choice was to try the lobby for a stronger signal at the recommendation from another guest. While the connection was better than in the rooms it was still very slow, and having a hard time to maintain connection. There is a business center but you have to pay to use those computers. Overall, as long as internet is not a requirement, the hotel is a really a great deal for the price and a very comfortable stay. if they fix the internet it would be perfect.

We were really impressed with the hotel. The lobby is beautiful and for the price we got more than we expected. The ac is a ... little noisy but I'm not too light of a sleeper so it didn't bother us too much. The pillows are comfy and everyrthing was great. The staff was extremely friendly and we have decided to always stay there when we head out that way. Bang for your buck!

To get to NY the cheapest way - is to take a bus from MewArk airport (#62 if I'm correct) to Penn Station New Ark, then PATH train to NY, Manhattan. It's 1.35 + 1.75 versus 15 bucks by AmTrack. Otherwise I'd strongly recommend to rent a car!
