Overview of experience

Very nice hotel; close to Reagan Airport; but wish I had more info about what to do around the area - only received menus and ... guide when I asked front desk. Wonderful accomodating staff all the way around. Business Center is a disaster and they need to look at the 3rd party they are doing business with - I received an AMX Emergency Fraud Call because the business (Vertical Systems) mistakenly charged my corporate card numerous times in error. They were hard to reach when I tried calling (at 10:00pm as AMX was waiting for a response). Still hoping I receive the credit to my account as promised. The hotel needs a Business Center but they are not represented well by this company. Room service options were adequate but underwhelming. Execellent staff but poor menu.

Stay here, but don't drive here
Jay May 25, 2009
The hotel staff was excellent. They were friendly, efficient and anxious to help. The room was clean and had nice ... furnishings. However, the hotel only has mandatory valet parking at a steep daily price. There was a metro station within walking distance if that is your preferred method of transportation.

Disappointed Business Traveller Apr 24, 2009
Here's the thing there is nothing around this hotel but condos. The restaurant in the hotel is expensive and not good. ... Also, I needed to print out two pages for my meeting. In their business center, the minimum charge to log into a computer is $7.50 and the $1.00 per page. I told the concierge that that was outrageous and she told me they contract with an outside company. I told her they should pick a new company because this one was a rip off. I asked if she could print my two pages from my flash drive and she said no. Needless to say I was disappointed.

I found the hotel and its staff to be warm and comfortable. the only drawback to the stay was that where it is located and ... its beinfg a holiday weekend, the things to do immediately around the hotel were somewhat limited. I would deffinitely recommend the hotel.

Very convenient to DC
vicky Mar 16, 2008
The Westin was very comfortable and the staff eager to help. The bed was heavenly. The Westin's location was in the ... business section of town... restaurants within walking distance of the hotel were closed for the weekend. However the metro was an easy walk and extremely convenient and inexpensive for getting into DC and seeing its attractions. Old town Alexandria was a short drive and a place we would like to explore when we return. Parking at the hotel was a bit steep, $48.00 for 2 nights.

'Heavenly' stay...
Dawn Mar 12, 2008
The Westin Alexandria is a beautiful location, it lives true to the Westin name for comfort and class. It is located in a ... business area, and on the weekend not many of the cafe/coffee shops were open around the hotel. The Metro stop is just a few blocks away which is a bonus. There is only one resturant on site, and what I felt was a limited menu, the food was good, but not much of a selection. The beds, who could ask for a better sleep than a Heavenly bedfrom the Westin.. the pillows, comforters, all of it is wonderful.

The King St. Metro stop is within walking distance a few blocks away. Old Town Alexandria is a few minute cab ride down to the waterfront.
