when i booked the room it stated that a refrigerator was in the room. there was no refrigerator. when i called front desk to ... ask why we had no refrig he stated that all rooms that had refrigerators were already taken. well that presented a problem since we had items that did need to be refrigerated. i was told however that i could bring my items to the office and they would be put in a communal refrigerator. the towels were stained. the water had a very horrid smell to it. i understand that the water needs chlorinated but it was so bad that it actually made my eyes burn. other than that the overall cleanliness of the hotel was fine.

Not the best, but not the worst...
Rev Egg Plant Sep 30, 2009
Though this wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed, it did leave a bit to be desired. The room wasn't the cleanest. The TV ... being bolted on the dresser prevented the dresser from being moved back fully flush with the wall and some of our things dropped behind it. While retrieving them, we found a bit of trash and mess there. A bit more detail when cleaning up would be helpful. The room was small and so was the bed. It certainly didn't feel the same width as our queen-size waterbed at home, and the mattress was kind of mushy. Still, for what we had to do, the place was quiet, the folks behind the counter quick to take care of things, like rekeying our access cards when my wife misplaced and then found one, and things could have been much worse. I found the lack of dollar bill acceptors on the vending machines kind of a drag. I also felt that the lack of nearby restaurants other than the McDonald's next door was a real drag. Some extra attention is all this place really needs and some business entrepreneur could really do well getting a full service restaurant set up nearby.

If you're looking for good food at a sit-down type stop, this isn't the place for you. McDonald's is the only restaurant nearby and if you're staying for any length of time, be prepared to drive a bit to find someplace to offer a sit down meal.

great price for location

This hotel was located in a very nice area to get to different venues. It was very clean when we first got there. Our room ... was not cleaned while we were there for two days. The cleaning crew knocked on our door at 9am the first day and did not come back to clean when we left or the second day. In the pamplet it said it had a microwave, but it did not. This would have been very useful for us. It had everything else stated, refrigarator. hair dryer, and even an iron and ironing board which was nice.

It is nice that McDonalds was next door. The pool was closed, so we were aloud do use the pool next door (comfort inn). The ... bathroom is tiny, it's just the toilet and shower, the sink and counter is outside of the bathroom. DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM THE AD BESIDE THE PHONE (I think it was Grandma's pizza or something like that) it was expensive, the food was burnt, soggy and late.

I was greeted very pleasantly at the desk not hurried but treated with courtesy The room was very clean and comfortable ... Lighting could have been a little brighter for using the computer The internet connection was weak but manageable There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was well presented and covered over I think this hotel was very good value for the money I have been in much worse hotels that cost three times as much It was near to the university only a five minute drive I will stay here again when I come back to Ohio

Not Kept Up
Janis Jul 2, 2008
My husband and I checked-in late in the evening and the neighborhood looked run down. Our check-in went smoothly, but our ... room was not up to standard. The security lock was busted as if someone had tried to kick the door in. The sheets were not firmly tucked into the bed so when I turned the bed down the fitted sheet came up off the mattress.

I booked this hotel as it was walking distance to the Columbus Crew stadium and it had free wireless. The people at the ... front desk were very nice and I felt welcome. however, the hotel needs totally made over. The room was neat, but the carpet was ready for the scrap heap and the walls need to be painted. The bathtub was water stained. Then, if you turned on the bathroom light the light in the sink area flickered. The wireless didn't work. The pool was nice and clean though. The people there are making an effort, but until the rooms are totally redone, I would not recommend this hotel.

I was to stay four nights in this hotel, however I finished earlier than expected so I left a day earlier. Everyone was ... friendly, but from there it was downhill. The hotel is not kept up. Linens did not seem clean. The shower curtain was black with mildew. The lock was broken in my first room, and I had to change rooms. The remote control for the T.V. did not work. The King bed took up most of the room, and the clown picture at the head of the bed was rather freaky. All in all I was quite disappointed.

The motel was located next to the Fairgrounds and did not have many amenities. There are few dining options close by (except ... McDonalds). You have to drive several miles in either direction for dinner. The room was simple but clean. I stayed 2 nites and the first night a radio alarm blaired until 1AM before it went off. The security guard could not find the correct room to silence it. The next nite... same thing, but this time, I found it in the room above ours and yanked it out of the wall. The card room keys only worked half the time. The pool was closed but it was still cool. Overall, the stay was about what I expected for the price and that part of town.

Jason Apr 21, 2007
Check-In was fine, he was very friendly. The room was really musky, the towel bar was ripped off the wall and just sitting ... on the counter, there were water stains all along the walls of the bathroom, just a joke. I saw security drive through a couple times, so that was good. The next morning we went for breakfast and came back and all our stuff was GONE! We flipped out and went to the front desk and they had them. The shady cleaning lady said she thought we were checked out! I was so mad, nothing big was taken just a bunch of change, couple singles, and a pack of cigarettes (with lighter).Just a really shady experience!
