You get what you pay for

This is my second visit. Over all I like the place. The staff accommodated special room location requests both times I was ... there with no extra charge or complaint. You get what you pay for. I think the room should have been about $5 to $10 less for the accommodations provided. The phone deposit just to even have phone service was a little much. The air conditioner worked intermittently due to obvious poor maintenance to the filter.

Within driving distance to shopping and dinner. This is a good place to crash for the night when you are working, want quiet, or dont want to be disturbed.

THERE IS PLENTY OF SHOPING AND FINE DINING WITH IN A WALKING DISTANCE....OR SHORT DRIVE....AS WELL AS TRANSPORTATION TO SAN FRANCISCO VIA THE BART SYSTEM.

Avoid at all costs! Old, dirty, smelled

Was unfamiliar with area, needed reasonably priced accommodations near venue for family party. Property is located in an area ... with streets that dead end and re-emerge elsewhere, street names change, one way streets - much time wasted going to and from location. Not convenient. We were traveling with 2 toddlers, selected this property due to it advertising microwaves and mini-fridges in rooms, as well as continental breakfast. The place is old, run down, dirty... Everything about the room was in disrepair and stained. We smelled pot smoke coming from other rooms throughout the night. There were NO APPLIANCES in the room and the Continental Breakfast we expected to feed two hungry babies consisted of a half-loaf of cheap, off-brand stale bread tossed on a counter in the office and a toaster. I thought they had to be joking and our reactions were being filmed by some hidden camera television show! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances.

THOUGH AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN LOOKS SMALL AND...WELL IS A SMALL HOTEL....THE QUALITY FOR THE RESIDENCE IS BEYOND WHAT YOU ... WOULD EXPECT FROM A SMALL HOTEL. THE STAFF IS GREAT. THE ROOMS ARE EXCELLENT. THE LOCATION IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING.

Just down Clayton Rd toward Kirker Pass Road are a pup and a very, delicious hamburger joint called Nations Burger. Has to be one of the best for hamburgers and breakfast.

At the American Best Value Inn the night staff was not very helpful. I asked for more towels because they had only put in ... enough for 2 people. When I asked for 1 more towel he told me they didn't have any more. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling and torn and the carpet was dated and separating. There was a small hole on one of the walls (which made me a little nervous). There was only one suitcase stand. Our room was #220. This was a motel, so no dining options.
