Have stayed here before and had absolutely no issues. The room was frigid and the heat did not work. Called front desk for ... 30 minutes or more and never received an answer. The next day I waited at the front desk for 15 minutes, noone was there, in order to check out. I even called again on my cell from the lobby. Noone was there to answer the phone. Ridiculously slack!

We stayed here so we could visit our son at the College of William and Mary. Location was excellent. It was located in the ... heart of Williamsburg.(close to shopping mall, colonial williamsburgs, various restaurants) Only problem was the bathroom. It was very small and water from shower was extremely weak. It literally trickles down. But for the price and location, it is a pretty good motel.

worst hotel visited last 10 years
ali Sep 3, 2009
First it should be called MOTEL not Hotel The picture in the website has nothing to do with real room. The room smell is very ... bad. The carpet looks so dirty that I asked my kids to keep their shoes to avoid them getting some kind of germs. The first thing that my wife told me is "please, find an other hotel" It was the worst stay that I had the last 10 years over more than 30 countries. Noisy, dirty, bad smell, and if you want internet, you have to take your laptop and turn arround to look for it. We had to pay extra to have refrigirator in the room. Too bad for this Hotel/Motel and too bad for ORBITZ to give this place as destination.

This motel was a major disappointment and if anything our stay there spoiled our trip to a place we love, Busch Gardens. The ... entire facility was very rundown inside and out. The room probably hasn't been updated in many years. Peeling wallpaper. the water in the bathtub trickled constantly and the tub itself was stained as a result of this, the shower head barely worked at all, providing only a thin stream of water. There was a small hole in the bathroom wall and a large piece of wall paper had been cut out around it. The temperatures and humidity in Virginia during August both run very high (90's) the air conditioning had been turned off in the room, when we entered the room it smelled like a pile of wet gym towels. The beds were made up correctly the first night after that the covers were just pulled up and the pillows left uncovered. Cups weren't replaced each day and we had to go after them. The complimentary breakfast consisted of stale raisin bran and stale frosted flakes that were almost impossible to get out of the dispensers, a few slices of white bread each morning, some very small doughnuts and orange juice. There was a restaurant toaster which was never turned on and a squeeze bottle of jelly and margarine. The indoor pool and the area surrounding it were to say the least, uninviting. The grounds were filthy, dirty stained walkways, overflowing garbage recepticals, the area where the ice machine is, is a long outdoor hallway, very dark, never lit during the day, trash on the floor by the ice machine. Definitely not an area you would want your wife or children entering. Bushes left untrimmed, flower boxes at the front entrance either full of weeds or dead plants and the list goes on. We stayed only because we were locked into a four night stay and for no other reason. This is a large facility, three multi-story buildings with probably more than one hundred rooms and yet we never saw more than twelve cars there including ours. The pinnacle of our stay occurred just as we were checking out, when two Virginia Sheriff's cars pulled up at the front entrance, the Deputies entered the motel, demanded to see the manager and served him with court papers. OUTSTANDING!!!!!! Way to go Orbitz, does anybody check these places out?

We chose this hotel for its location and the continental breakfast for the kids. The breakfast was small but adequite. The ... rooms were a little dated but clean. For the money it was a great value and we would stay again. There was nothing scary here and it is good for families who would rather spend their money on the attractions!!

Avoid this motel
Teachermom Aug 18, 2009
There were half-full beer bottles left in the closet corner with mold growing on the beer. We had to request towels every ... evening when we returned to our room. There seemed to be a real shortage of clean towels and washcloths. The pool water was literally like soup. The room was filthy. Good thing a Walgreen's was nearby because my children begged me to get antibacterial wipes to clean the bathroom. The hotel was practically vacant the day we arrived but our room was not ready by the specified time. The owner seemed to treat us differently because we weren't paying "full price" by booking through Orbitz. I didn't feel safe in this motel. If you can tolerate poor service and filth for a low price and good location, stay here. Otherwise, pay the extra money and get a better hotel.

Were only there for one night but saw no major flaws. Very good price! Had breakfast, nice front desk, large pool (which we ... didn't get a chance to visit), huge game room with pool tables and video games, and the room was very spacious. No fridgerator or microwave which wasn't a very big deal since we were there for only a short period of time.

I realize that I got a good price on the room but you do expect the outside hallway to be clean. When we checked in our ... sheet had not been changed. All things in our room worked but overheard another person complaining about lights out and tv romote not working. The hotel staff were very helpful but I believe that the hotel had just been bought and they were having a hard time keeping things going. It looked like some of the room were not available and needed work. This is a very big hotel with lots of rooms.

The hotel was very dirty. Our room was never cleaned for the four days we were there. Towels were not bleached or laudered ... very well. Pool filter was out the first day, the other days it was very dirty. I do not think this hotel would pass a health inspection.

J & A Aug 4, 2009
Overall, the hotel could use some work. If you are mainly just looking for a place to sleep, then this is the place. The ... rooms are a decent size, but aren't very clean (especially the bathroom), and have very, very thin walls. The location of the hotel is great being very close to dining, shopping, Colonial Williamsburg, and Busch Gardens. In all though, it's worth the extra $30 or $40 for a better place.

It was just a quick overnight stay for us, so it was fine for that. I wouldn't want to stay there long in the room we were ... in. It was small and facing a busy McDonalds. It would have been nice to take a dip in the pool after a long day too. But all in all it was ok.
