I wish I had stayed somewhere else
Jenner390 Nov 10, 2009
My room in the south tower had dirty walls (some of it may have been mold), furniture, and bathrooms. When I complained, the ... hotel staff were really attentive and friendly. They moved me to a slightly better room but this room still had cleaning problems as well. The shower broke in both of my rooms. For the money I paid, I was really disappointed, especially since I'm a student and the only reason I stayed at this hotel was for a conference.

AngNic Oct 26, 2009
The hotel in the picture is not the one you stay in; the one we stayed in was right next to the one shown, not near as ... luxurious. The main hotel is beautiful but rooms are tiny and pool very small too. Also, there was a leak in our room. Appeared to be in the wall - kind of scary - made me worry about structural damage. The floor was soaked but we just slept there one night so we made due. Great location, but no breakfast and we had to pay $18 for parking.

Very nice staff, however, miscommunications between them. Cleanliness not the best. Rooms small and climate control ... horrible. Make sure you stay in the North tower. Unfortunately, they cater to teenage groups, who usually stay in the South tower, which is not as nice. The location is great. It wasn't horrible but overpriced.

Great location near St. Louis Arch and Metrolink stop at stadium! Staff members were consistently friendly. Room in north ... tower ($20 extra) was small. TV volume went from loud to soft on its own. Asked to have bedside lamp and outlet repaired, and nothing was done. There is a shuttle that offers rides within 3 miles of the hotel.

What a great location for a hotel. Located directly in the middle of the Arch and Busch Stadium. If your room is hear the top ... you can see directly inside the stadium, so cool. The hotel was very nice and the rooms were contempory except the bathroom. The martini lounge was a hit on Friday night. Definetly a fun place for couples wanting to experience downtown St. Louis.

We picked the hotel due to the close location to Busch Stadium for the Cardinals last home game. The beds were majorly ... uncomfortable. The house cleaning knocked on the door each morning between 8am-8:30am whether you had the do not disturb sign out or not, then they still would open the door. Room service was majorly overpriced and was none existant the second night stay. They also charged $1.00 to make one local call, just down the road to a food delivery service they recommended. Will not stay there again!!!!!

Millenium Hotel REVIEW
Ram's Fan Sep 29, 2009
We stayed in a double bed room (with 2 double beds). It was kind of small but comfortable and well appointed. We were ... facing one of the main streets in the south atrium, and I think on weekends, the motorcyclists like to race up and down - until some wee morning hours. Otherwise the room was nice. Inside the motel itself it was quiet and clean. The lobby is beautiful and the Palm Court looks out on a fantastic view of the Arch. There had recently been a fire in the kitchen, so food choices were limited at the hotel itself. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Betty the concierge, gave us directions to a FANTASTIC restaurant - J.Buck's (gooey butter cake is a new EVIL dessert I tried) - and these were all within walking distance. We didn't bring a car so we appreciated that. If you don't mind a little walk you can walk to either Busch stadium or even the Edward Jones dome. I'd recommend this hotel.

We found that Saint Louis is a very exciting city. Very friendly people. Wonderful night life. Visited 2 Casino's, sveral ... resturants and just in general, enjoyed all the sites. The best of all was going on the Arch tour. A very exciting expearience for my son and myself. We weren't ready to return home, so that means we will definitly return for more in the near future. Thanks for the wonderful new memories.

Unhappy Guest Sep 26, 2009
Not a good experience. The hotel was very crowded and loud (could have been just this day). The room was by the interstate ... so it was very noisy through the night. The room smelled disgusting when we walked in and I felt gross even sitting on the beds. It is definitely an older hotel that could use updates. Parking- we had to park across the street which was fine, but parking was an extra $18. By the time I paid for that and everything else, I could have just spent a little more an got a better hotel. Also, just a warning, we received a newspaper in the morning. There was a sticker on it (in very small print) that said if we didn't call to tell them we didn't want it, we would be charged $18.75...for a $1 newspaper!!!

We chose the Millenium because we have had nice experiences there in the past but this will be the last time I go there. We ... were told by several hotel employees our parking would be free but ended up being charged for parking because we booked through Orbitz. They charged me $18 as a guest but people using the garage to go to the ball game were only charged $15!! The room we had was very dirty. I had to clean the bathroom so we could use it. The girl checking us out and charging us for parking gave us a receipt saying that was all we would need to get out of the parking garage but the parking attendent said we needed a different voucher so we had to walk back in the hotel and get something else. We took some friends with us and raved on the hotel so I was quite embarrassed when they seen the room.

First of all the room they gave us is not on the picture. The rooms on the pictures you see on the web site are not the ones ... that we staid in. They gave us the room in the old tower. The rooms look like $35 motel. But we paid $150 per night. They don't have a valley parking, they don't have parking at all. You have to park accross the street, and pay $18 a day. They don't have wireless internet, you have to pay for the internet separatly. The manager wasn't friendly at all. When we said we don't like it, she just answerd it that she does not have anything to do with us, because we made the reservation thru orbitz.com

Roadtrip getaway
Ms. Teacher Aug 30, 2009
We took our first roadtrip to St. Louis (anywhere, for that matter) from Chicago and we enjoyed our stay. Staff upgraded our ... room (because it was slow), we loved downtown St. Louis because it was super quiet (compared to Chicago's downtown), we got coupons for complimentary breakfast, the walk to the arch and Busch Stadium was a short walk, and (car) ride to the zoo and The Budweiser Tour was also short. The only problem was no nearby convenient stores (for snacks) or restaurants (We ate at H**ters and TGIFridays)-[computer didn't let me write "oo"]

Disappointment in the South Tower
Scav Aug 15, 2009
The staff was very friendly and helpful, but we were a little disappointed with the room. The bedspreads and curtains were ... stained and very outdated. The lighting was horrible, one light didn't work at all. When my boyfriend took a shower, the drain clogged up and maintenance had to come and snake the drain. There was no vent fan in the bathroom and the carpet leading into the bathroom was frayed and worn. I think we were expecting a little more from the Millenium Hotel guest rooms. The breakfast bar was very tasteful the next morning and the waiters were very friendly. The view of the Arch from the breakfast table was spectactular!

Tranasportation from the Airport: The "official" shuttle service at the airport is GoBest, so that is what the hotel is obliged to recommend. However, the former shuttle service is TransExpress, costs MUCH less, and as of August 11, 2009 was still making regularly scheduled stops at hotels. You can purchase round trip tickets online, just make sure you keep the receipt and the contact phone number, just in case.
