My room was nicely furnished and the hotel grounds were nicely kept. I was in Santa Fe for a conference and chose not to stay ... at the conference hotel. The Inn of the Governor's was within walking distance and I enjoyed my walk each morning and eveining cuz I got to see other sights. The choices for the hot breakfast was fantastic. I could get easily spoiled. The staff were extremely helpful. My shuttle to ABQ did not pick me up and the staff called to make other arrangements for me.

Incredible Deal in the heart of Santa Fe
New Jersey Traveller Nov 3, 2009
The location and professional and friendly service combined with excellent internet price makes this a top choice for Santa ... Fe. The included breakfast is spectacular. No need for lunch afterwards! Tea and sherry in the afternoon was a welcome break from touring, although I would have liked it to be a little later than the 4pm - 5pm time slot. The rooms are on the small side but very clean with wonderful southwestern accents.

Delightfully Charming Hotel
JonBrom Jul 29, 2009
We (my wife and I) greatly enjoyed our 4 day stay at the Inn of The Governors this past week. The front desk staff were all ... extremely accommodating and friendly. The "basic" room was nicely appointed with comfortable beds (2 queens) and we even had free wifi in the rooms along with complimentary computers in the lobby. The hotel is right smack in the middle of the Plaza neighborhood of Santa Fe. However, once on the grounds, it was a nice oasis away from the crowds with a lovely pool area (small, but perfectly adequate pool for cooling off) that was great with the complimentary sherry every day between 4-5. The hot country breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we have experienced in our travels and the patio dining area was also delightful. They also serve a limited dinner menu in the same area at very reasonable prices ($6-$8 for quite nice and tasty dinners -- they also serve a killer marguerita for $6 that is really the equivalent of 2-3 glasses since they give you the whole shaker with your filled glass). We highly recommend this hotel and, at least when we booked through Orbitz, the price was very reasonable (about $150/night for 4 nights including all taxes, etc.)
