Beware of the Bed Bugs

It was the worst place I have ever been to. I found bed bugs under my pillow and on my night gown. It's a horrible ... experience that I would not wish to happen to anyone else.

[...] I stayed Friday night only, to attend a mini-reunion. Having traveled lots of places on a budget, I found this motel ... perfectly acceptable. I never heard a sound from inside my room. But: It smelled a little bad when I arrived, and neither window would open. The bathroom window area showed its age, although everything else seemed up to date. The water when I filled the Jacuzzi tub looked kind of green and left a dark ring when I got out (I don't think I was that dirty!). Breakfast went well beyond the "continental" minimum, with scrambled eggs, hash browns and pancakes, none of which looked very appetizing to me, but you could certainly fill up. (The "light supper," which used to be included, was discontinued this fall.) There are signs insisting you not remove any food. There's a computer in the lobby, but it was always busy when I looked. Staff was moderately friendly--businesslike. There was coffee in the lobby, but I never saw any cookies or newspapers (and I wasn't looking for them). One thing I liked was getting to the Peninsula from the East Bay without paying a bridge toll. El Camino traffic moves right along, so the drive to Stanford didn't take long (maybe 15 minutes).

This hotel is good enough for the price you pay. It has big enough rooms with comfortable beds and clean bed sheets. Rooms ... are clean too. Bathrooms have jacoozi and bathrooms are clean too. Only bad thing is that rooms doesn't have internet access or WiFi. I would recommend this motel to people who are passing through and want to spend a night or two in Mountain View, CA.

Short Stayer Aug 26, 2009
Motel is old but rooms quite clean. Our room had a cracked mirror, entrance light bulb missing, three (of about 16) bathroom ... mirror lights burned out and bathroom ceiling over shower needs repainting. Carpeted walkway outside doors badly needs replacing.Complimntary dinner of hamburgers and hotdogs plus salad and drinks on Monday-Thursday made it great value although we didn't try it. Free breakfast every day better than most. Had scrambled eggs, french toast, cereal, and fruit.

My boyfriend and I stayed the night when we went to JV's Comedy Jam. It is close to the Shoreline Amphitheatre, and many ... stores and restaurants. It is an alright place to stay the night for a good price. I loved the jacuzzi. The only thing i disliked was the complimentary breakfast. It was pretty disgusting. Other than that, we had a great time.

A decent hotel for the price.
Jose Aug 23, 2009
A good place to stay after a Shoreline concert, only a 5 minute drive. It's an older hotel with rooms that are decent size, ... they have a very old microwave and mini fridge, but they do the job. The TV reception was bad and the wireless internet did not work. I really wanted to get on the internet in the comfort of my room and not have to use my laptop in the lobby area. The breakfast was decent; basic continental items, along with hash browns, scrambled eggs, waffles, and pancakes. They also have a dinner, but I didn't go.

Look for the Pizza Hut coupons at the front desk; $3 Medium 1-topping carryout, $7 Large 1-topping, and $10 any size specialty. And it's across the street from the hotel.
