This hotel was perfectly located near Mexicali Restaurant, was the quietest hotel we've stayed in when in Bakersfield, the ... room was very large and the staff was most cooperative. Couldn't have asked for more.

The staff was very very nice and helpful. i loved having the little patio. the size of the room was great. I loved my room ... service breakfast (although they did forget the ham in my omelet!) Fitness room was great. Movies were WAY too expensive! Woke up in the middle of the night to someone (next door, upstairs) having sex :O but otherwise, I very much enjoyed my stay. very central with lots of restaurants around. wifi was a bit temperamental at times.

I found my room to be noisy. You could hear the neighbor's TV, Shower, and morning yawn. The carpet had all kinds of ... stains. The bathroom didn't have shampoo even though they had a big display of their "clean soaps". The staff were friendly though.

Great location for Top Three Track Meet

Well, the hotel itself was great...quiet, clean, comfortable, pretty grounds, great pool, great room. The problem was with ... the staff at check-in and some of them throughout our stay. It seems that some staff at hotels take offense when one books a room on-line, as it gets mentioned a lot, "Oh, you got this on-line"...as if it's an inferior way to book a room or something. Maybe it bothers them that you can get a great hotel rate on-line. They really need to get with the times!! We were first given the wrong room and when we moved to the correct room, the staff person who helped us was very condescending. Then, they did not tell us about the included buffet breakfast, so off we went each morning, very early I might add, to get breakfast elsewhere. Having a ready-made breakfast right in the hotel would have been great, as we had to be at a track meet by 8AM. We did not learn about it until we checked out. Even if we'd had to pay for breakfast, it would have made our lives easier, but we were not even told about it's availability. We were also given really wrong directions to a restaurant one night, not that it's their responsibility necessarily, but we ended up in a really bad part of town. You know, normally I don't write negative things about places I stay, and I stay at lots of places, from two stars to five stars. So, I let a little time go by before I wrote this. But when you're traveling with a 12-year-old and time is of the essence for things like a track meet (she's a junior olympian) it matters. The staff's negative behavior left me with a "bad taste in my mouth" so to speak. But the hotel itself was really great!!

I was searching for a reasonable priced hotel at the last minute. This hotel was very comfortable, clean and located in the ... center of Bakersfield. There are restaurants in every direction and the staff there was super friendly. I would definately stay here again.
