We stayed here because of the great location to the Seneca Wine Trail. We attended the Deck the Halls event. We did have a ... little problem with the room key...sometimes had to try the key 2-3 times before it would open the door (minor adjustment needed to be made to the lock).

The good the bad and the ugly
John Aug 16, 2009
We were there because of a family wedding. For the price we were very dissapointed. They didn't need to worry about the ... strict 11:00 check out time, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. This ranked right up there with one of the worst experiences. We have traveled a lot to visit our children and have stayed in several different motels in VA, PA, CO,WA,IN and NY

Nice location, bad bed
M&E Aug 11, 2009
The hotel is located on a convenient place from the finger lakes. There are several restaurants, cinema and grocery stores ... nearby. The rooms are old, but nice and clean. The hotel area is not noisy at all. With a better bed and working wifi it would be a great value for the price. The "complementary continental breakfast" was as a joke.

Disgusting!
Kind Karen Aug 2, 2009
The hotel should be called America's Best Rip-Off. This hotel should be inspected and shut down by the board of health. My ... husband and I could not even breathe after one hour in this dirty, smelly, room. We purchased two nights from Orbitz, and left immediately after one sleepness night and payed for another hotel out of pocket. We are not the type to waste our money, but were relieved to have left. We cannot believe that any on-line directory would advertise such a disgusting motel. After staying in many nice hotels through on-line directories, we learned our lesson not to trust some of these reviews. In some of the catagories above, I wish they had negative numbers!!

an okay place to stay
traveler May 27, 2009
The room we were allocated first was not even made up, so we had to go back to the front desk for a change of room. No ... shampoo in the room just a soap. There was no clock and no coffee pot. The location was so close to lake and parks. All the fast food places are just a short walk.

Awful
Mom May 26, 2009
We had to cancel our second night that we were to stay - they did not credit our account saying we needed to contact ORBITZ ... to cancel the night of May 24th (Sunday) and receive a credit on our charge. The room was very dirty - paint peeling off the walls & ceiling. Rust on tht lamps between the 2 beds - rust on the towel rack in the bathroom. Our blankets were dirty on the bed so we did not use them. Hair in the bathtub and toilet paper floating in the toilet. The room smelled awful. The carpeting was dirty. No towels or hot water when we arrived. I would not recomemd anyone staying in this motel. I left an expensive pair of sandals in the room when we left Sunday morning - we went back in the early evening to find them. The room had not been rented out - and the housekeeper had been in the rooom. They let my husband search the room. He did not find them and they said they were not turned in @ the desk. Now someone has my Finn Comfort Sandals I paid over $150.00 for and they were only a year old. Please contact me on this and also please process a credit for our stay - Sunday night we had to go to the Hampton Inn in Geneva - It was beautiful and clean. Thank you for your help. I would not list Americas Best Value Inn on your website. Wyoma Chambala

Americas Best Value Inn, Geneva, New York, formally the Chantileer, is very Close to Hobart College. It is old and a bit run ... down, the rooms are small, and the furnishing leave a bit to be desired. The rooms are clean, however being so old makes one wonder about mold etc.Rte 20 very close to rooms in front of Motel, and there is constant road noise. Fast food resturants are abundant closeby. Fine for a brief overnight, but I would not take my Mother there!

The pool area had debrie ...
Bonnie Lu Sep 21, 2007
The pool area had debrie all around the outside fence, with two swayback picnic tables on either side, one gas grill. It was ... horrible inside the pool's water was a deep ugly green color, anything going in that pool would need a tetenus shot afterwords. The continental breakfast consisted of tang at room temperture, a container holding hot water to make tea/hot chocolate, powder milk, just regular black coffee out of a container keeping it hot, and an assortment of store brought donuts. Very dingy room, fingerprints all over the windows. My room was so so, the spider was in the bathroom on the wall next to shower his web was in the upper side wall crease in front room. Was awakened at 5:30 on Saturday morning by garbage truck for restaurant next door, could not open bathroom window to get fresh air. Some kind of night light was built into the tv so that was lite all night long to my dismay. Bed was nice and firm, but had to figure out how to turn on light fixtures as most had the light bulb unscrewed for some reason. Post cards were 50 cents@, kinda high as they didn't have much to buy. People very vague on surrounding roads or sites. Paper thin walls. It looked like both the bathroom and front doors had been forced open in the past, nice to go to bed with that thought in mind.
