Poor Guest Service -
Pro Service Nov 17, 2009
First they gave me hard time becuase I had my reservation thru [...] - in their language was a third party and prepid and ... they didnot care about servicing me and considering my request for a quiet room - I refrained to accept a room facing the elevator - manager got involved and promised me a quiet room. surprisingly The room was next to service elevator and ice maker maching would make a crazy noise. never go back there - unethical in promising a quiet room. Guest need to go to front desk and ask for tooth paste it takes 8 hours to get it

Make sure you DO NOT rent a car in the US and travel the Toronto toll road. Their system does NOT allow for you to pay the toll (on the road; online or via mail) and then the cost goes back to the rental agency who in turn charges you any where from $40-80. Not very conducive to tourism. You're OK if you own the car, you will be billed the regular toll amount to your home address or where the car is registered. Disappointed Toronto Tourism doesn't work better with the toll road system to avoid this. We in IL certainly allow for Canadian tourists to pay their fair toll and avoid the costly fee and/or "fine" if they rented a car from their homeland and drove here.

good size room, enough room for them to put a fridge in but didnt so had to keep refilling ice bucket to keep drinks ... cool. excellent variety for breakfast, that was defiantly a plus. parking was $25 a night for self parking, pretty expensive which was very disappointing and you had to go across the street to park, when they have parking under the hotel but they only leave that for valet.

Great Location!

Great Central Location, clean, friendly staff, within walking distance to shops as well as subway which was very easy and ... recommended to get around town on as parking is high...the room was suprisingly quiet...i had debated on a downtown location due to outside noise, but i slept soundly with no outside (or inside) disturbance whatsoever.

Decent Stay in DWTN Toronto
Dilbere Sep 17, 2009
We liked the location in Toronto as there is a subway station nearby and we could walk to Eaton Centre and the Royal Ontario ... Museum. The hotel doesn't seem newly updated, but our room was clean. The service at the hotel was very good and the employees were both friendly and helpful. One thing to keep in mind is that parking at the hotel is expensive and next time I'll look for some other arrangement for the car.

Toronto Yonge St. Marriott
Vacation Traveler With Overdue Time Off Sep 8, 2009
The room and floor were reasonably quiet, and the room itself was comfortable. Very good downtown location. Compared to other ... hotels I had stayed at for business on different occasions, this one was much better. A couple of hotel phone calls (that never connected) were taken off the bill with no questions or problems.

Very Bad Customer Service
Traveller Aug 6, 2009
I booked for 4 days and paid for all of it in advance. I got there one day late and I was asked to pay all over again for the ... three days saying that the booking has been cancelled but the amount is non-refundable. I had to have a two hour fight before the issue is resolved. Very bad service without common sense.

Bob Aug 3, 2009
Location was good. If you're in decent shape, you can walk to most scenic spots---- CN tower, Rogers Center, the lakefront, ... Chinatown, and Kensington Market. All worth seeing. Rooms were clean and generally quiet. If you want to see the city this is a good place to be.

i stayed two nights at this hotel with my husband and my mother. This was my first time in Toronto, i found that the location ... of the courtyard was PERFECT!walking distance to everything, right in yonge street, so shopping, restaurants and bars are right just around the corner. The room was very clean and the service was great as in almost every marriott. overall, i enjoyed the experience. I am going back to Toronto in october and i will definitely book in this hotel again.
