Faithful replications of the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, the Campanile Tower, and St. Mark's Square offer awe-inspiring sights and sounds true to the crown jewel of Europe. Don't miss the quarter-mile Grand Canal set in a frescoed sunset sky where gondoliers serenade their passengers on the romantic ride of a lifetime. Features such as the 134,000-square-foot Canyon Ranch SpaClub, the more than 80 international boutiques of The Grand Canal Shoppes, an opulent casino featuring all your table and slot games, a five-acre pool deck, menus created by celebrity chefs including Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck, David Burke, Thomas Keller, and Mario Batali, and the entertainment of Blue Man Group, Phantom the Las Vegas Spectacular, and Wayne Brady guarantee every visit to The Venetian will be unforgettable.
There is a daily resort fee of $15 plus tax that will be charged upon check-in. Resort fee includes daily newspaper, unlimited local calls, high-speed Internet, and access to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub fitness facility.

The Casino never smelled of smoke. As soon as you walk into the casino, it had a nice fresh smell. (some kind of ... chemical...but better than smoke!)The bed was very nice and the linens were the best. Very nice bathroom. The best hotel experience we have had. The rooms were very large and quiet. Great package deal that included Jersey Boy tickets.

Our Weekend in Vegas
Married Couple enjoying Dinner and Shows Feb 3, 2010
This was our first trip to Vegas but not our last. We thoroughly enjoyed the Venetian. There are so many hotels to choose ... from, but we were glad that we chose this one. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back. We saw Blue Man Group and were blown away by the experience. The theatre was the perfect size and we even had the perfect seats to take in the show. We had read that all the hotels make you walk through the casino from the check-in desk on the way to your room. Well at the Venetian you only had to walk through an adjoining hallway to the casino. We were pleased that the level of smoking from the casino was not over bearing. Neither of us are smokers and were concerned about all the smoke. That was not a problem. Every service person we ran into during our stay was very courteous and professional. We loved the stay.
Traveler type: Couples
The best thing we did was made a reservation for Dinner at the same Hotel our Show was in. This made life much easier getting from dinner to the show in time.

Balding gracefully Feb 2, 2010
The location was great for a couple looking to spend some time together. We ran into a few hiccups with the service, but ... nothing that was overtly bad (room service spilled our breakfast in the elevator). The economy has hurt the service in just about every hotel along the strip (every table I sat at to gamble people were complaining about how long it took to get a beverage). I have had much better trips in the past as far as a stay is concerned, but the company you take can make a world of difference.

The property and clientelle are first rate! The staff was not that friendly - other than the Valet staff who were super. ... Really loved the rooms and although I wanted to use the pool/jaccuzi, I didn't have time. Too much work. The coffee shop on level two just at the top of the escalators didn't know how to do any special mixes, and totally blew mine after I told them what to do. The security staff was not friendly either. Fron desk was over worked.

The Wynn's is a much nicer hotel for the money. Stayed there the last time in LV. Venetian did not have a non smoking room as ... agreed upon untill the next day. They however never transfered me to a non smoking room either as they said they would. The hotel rooms need a renovation to be called 5 star. The carpet is old and in need of cleaning and the sitting pit was in the same condition. Very disapointing. The people were very curtious, friendly and service was excellant however. Better ask for the free comp's I never got mine!

Venetian has become my go to hotel in Vegas. Large hotel, Lavo is a great club/ultra lounge, great restaurants, great sports ... bar, courteous staff, great casino gaming area. Connects to Palazzo hotel via a great restaurant row. Rooms are the largest on the strip and are all 5 star. All rooms come with a sectional couch that can sleep one to two guests, 3 TVs in the room, great amenities, etc. No reason to leave the hotel.

Lavo nightclub is great. Lagasses sports book and bar is the coolest sports bar and sports book I have ever seen. Must see to appreciate with over 50 Flat screen TVs, and a gigantic HD screen that spans 25 feet and has great picture quality.

A treat for all senses!
Venetian duo Jan 24, 2010
For those travelers going to Las Vegas not necessarily for the "gambling experience", The Venetian will be a pleasurable ... experience. We stayed for 6 days/5 nights. The Venetian sprays in a lovely light scent in the lobby and public areas to cover any smoke-smells- but overall it's the least smoky casino I've ever been in. If you wanted a primarily smoke-free experience, you could enjoy gaming there. And you can shop in scented pleasure (non-headache causing). And the slot machines are silent (so no assault on the ears)! The staff was professional, the room very nice, although we've had better in the actual city of Venice...There is a pleasant mix of retail shops- where one could actually buy things, or in the connected Palazzo, window shop in designer store windows. The mini-Venice was not hokey even if you've been to the original. They really captured the details without the real Venice drawbacks. The hotel clientele are not the typical tourist or gamblers, slightly more upscale and including a good mix of ages too. And the restaurants in both provided food to-die-for!!! Try Zefferinos and the Butali restaurants especially. Good location, once you figure out how to get across Las Vegas Blvd (!), close to the half-price ticket booth and lower and higher-level hotels. Fashion mall has some fast food outlets. All in all, a wonderful treat-especially for those looking for a mellow trip! It paid to splurge a little on a high-end hotel- and it was just a little extra. Well worth it!!!
Traveler type: Couples
Go to the half-price ticket booth and save big-time on shows, nearly every one had tickets available for last-moment or next day shows. Save your money and don't try the monorail- it's in debt anyway, and it just provides a view of the back alleys behind the hotel and goes nowhere, really, that you couldn't walk to (by the time you walk to the station you could be there). Save on cabs by looking where it is you need to go- otherwise you can pay $20 for a cab across the street.

Klinkerman Jan 23, 2010
We arrived for a three day weekend to enjoy shows and other entertainment. Other than at check in we had a great ... time.[...]They gave us a room on the 28th floor, but I have no idea if it was a "view" room because every room had some sort of view. Under my circumstances I wouldn't upgrade again. The stay was enjoyable. We dined at the Stratosphere and had great food with an amazing night time view of the city. The food was good, however everything is expensive on the newer portion of the strip. The 'O' Show was great and I particulary loved the Blue Man Group---great percussion music and weird fun.The hotel blows a fragrance through its ventilation system to offset the smoking odor. My wife and I found this annoying, however they don't ventilate this perfume into your room. Some other hotels also use a fragrance, but others didn't. I prefered the ones without the added fragrance---neither of us smoke.
Traveler type: Couples
Get a bus pass for the bus that travels Las Vegas Blvd (the entire strip). Walking's great, but sometimes you may want to ride longer distances and the buses run about every 10 minutes. They're double deckers and great transportation.

Venetian Is Awesome!!!!
ONCE IN WHILE TRAVELER Jan 22, 2010
The staff was excellent, the hotel provided the best service I have ever had at a hotel. The room was large, comfortable and ... SPOTLESS! As expected for a Vegas hotel incidental expenses are over the top but I think that is normal, just bring it with you. The Grand Lux Cafe was an excellent restaurant next to the casino, serving sizes were huge and the prices were reasonable. I had flight cancellation and the Venetion offered me a room discount when i came back for the night.

stayed at the Venetian for probably about the 5th time in ten years.I have also stayed at Bellagio, and Wynn. This time was ... for business. I believe they have the best rooms on the strip, for the money. The hotel was beautiful and the people professional and the resturants there are always excellent. My only complaint was that there were funky smells in the hallways and at the casino entrance; like backed up sewage, especially later in the day. They were definately on top of it and trying to mask it with air fresheners. but it was definately there. Otherwise everything was as expected.

Beautiful Room, Outstanding Staff
CaliChris Jan 10, 2010
The first class experience began with the outstanding Concierge Services. I booked shows and dinner reservations prior to ... arrival. All of the food and entertainment was outstanding. The room was spacious and luxurious. The bed was very comfortable and when we had time to sleep, we slept very well. The bathroom was very large and beautifully done. The staff at the Venetian was very friendly. The only negative comment I can give is that there was too much cigarette smoke in the casino. Not that it was out of the ordinary for a casino. As a non-smoker I expect it. I wish all casinos would offer people like myself the opportunity to lose large sums of cash in a smoke free environment. Lucky for me, I could not spend much time in the casino because of the smoke and therefore I could not lose that large sum of cash. :-) The Venetian is going to make it difficult for me to decide to stay anywhere else the next time I visit Sin City.

Bouchon in the Venetian was very good. There is a Walgreens below the Palazzo, so make sure you stock up on some snacks, and water. The tap water is disgusting in Las Vegas.
