Bally's does not offer a free shuttle service from the airport, but an appprox $15 taxi fee can get you there. This trip was ... leisure; no workout room or swimming pool was visited (matter of fact, not sure if they have one)! Check-in was a breeze with friendly staff. The location is easy enough; being situated mid-strip was nice (approx 10 min walk to the Miracle Mile Mall). The room-a basic (classic)-was plenty big, but just what it clamins to be, "basic." The beds were comfortable, but not overly impressive. (Don't expect elegant luxury here.) The bathroom is typical. The shower was on the unimpressive side as the shower head could use an update. These rooms have nothing fancy to make you want to waste your time inside, but they are nice for a good sleep, and are in a good location. My biggest complaints: the airconditioning unit was fairly noisy and the walls were a bit on the "thin" side.

The hotel connected to The Paris hotel and there were great restaurants open all night. We will definitely go back and stay at Bally's again!

Bally's needs a face lift
New England Traveller Feb 1, 2010
The staff were pleasant enough. My room seemed clean, but the furnishings were cosmetically damaged and overall the room ... just seemed shabby. And I had an upgrade to a Deluxe room. I was very disappointed that I had to pay extra for internet, and wireless was not available. And I still had to pay an extra $5.95 to use the internet kiosk in the lobby in order to print my boarding pass for my return flight. The use of the gym was an extra $22/day, which I wouldn't mind, but the gym was hardly a gym at all. It was dingy, small, and had very little to offer in terms of equipment. Overall, if you need a reasonably priced bed for the night it was fine.

Renovated section is nice!
Yappie Feb 1, 2010
I was only staying for one night so they thankfully gave me a free upgrade to their newly renovated tower. For the price I ... was paying I was very happy with these new accommodations. The room was nice and clean and was perfectly appropriate for a hotel room in 2010 (I hate when I get into a hotel room and it hasn't been updated since the early 90s). It was in between a really nice Comfort Inn and a mid-range room at a Hilton or Marriott. I thought the location on the strip was perfect - just a short walk to the Venetian/Palazzo/Wynn/Encore area and another short walk to the Bellagio. I ate breakfast in their casual dining restaurant and it was great. I liked all of the nods to old school Vegas (e.g., pictures of the Rat Pack). The only thing I did not like was that I was woken up at 3:00 a.m. by a bunch of drunk brutes trying to get into their room next door (they tried my door). It turned out our rooms were connected, they could have been reserved together as a massive suite. Those [*] wouldn't shut up even though I asked and I had to sleep with ear plugs after that. I'd definitely reserve a room in the renovated tower again in the future, but I'd ask for a room that wasn't connected to any others.

The front desk was extremely helpful when I checked in and upgraded me into a newly renovated room in South Tower.Bally's is ... centrally located at Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd accessible by walking, tram, moving sidewalks to many venues. We were moments away from Caesars, Bellagio, Paris, Mirage.I would stay there again for the price and convenience. All servers and staff were pleasant during the three days. However, the staff was unhelpful over the phone when I attempted to add my friend's name to the checkin when I knew would be detained. Because I had reserved through [...], Ballys has a rule that they can't change the reservation ?! so I contacted [...] and the rep was extremely helpful but met the same roadblock as I did. He even faxed the name to the hotel. They evidently didn't get it or opted to not be helpful. Food and drink and sundries were available any time.

Good time in Las Vegas
SuperRD Jan 21, 2010
Our experience was very good overall. Our major complaint was the smokiness of the hotel and casino. My husband ordered a ... cake for my birthday with my name on it and balloons and it came up with a hole in the cake, no name on the cake and no balloons. The management seemed inexperienced with compensating us. They definitely ruined my birthday surprise. Bally's is centrally located which was a plus - and the casino had a lot of penny slots. The monorail attached was also great. The room was spacious and updated in the North tower. Overall - a wonderful time!

If you are there for new years eve, they shut down Las Vegas Blvd so folks can walk freely. Bring a collapsible cooler, buy a case of beer and camp out in front of Ballys a few hours before midnight. Buying a case of beer is cheaper than what they sell outside, and camping out in front of Ballys gives you a great view of the Bellagio fountains, all the fire works at midnight and excellent people watching up and down the strip.
