The rooms need to be updated. Walk into the room has the feel of 1980's not modern. This may have a lot to do with the ... rooms smelling musty. You could hear the occupants above you walking around and doors closing outside. I advised the front desk that the phone was not working and she told me, "maybe they are on the phone" no offer to have it checked out. Sound like she just wanted to be left alone and not bother with hotel guest complaints. The location was good for the family event.

Go around the water from hotel towards San Francisco - great little restaurant on the water. Sorry forgot name, but you can't miss it. Just about a mile and on the right. Sign points across the street for parking.

Be careful where you park in San Francisco or you will get ripped off. There are several places where you can park for $10-$12 all day, while other places charge up to $40.

Hotel Stay During Andi's Wedding
s4short Sep 28, 2009
I asked for an upgrade because the "City View" that I originally requested actually looked out over the freeway. I did not ... want to see the 'City' one car at a time. Overlooking the water was much nicer. Easy to get into and out of.

Excellent location, comfortable stay
Zach the Anniversary Traveler Sep 13, 2009
We stayed in a water view room because we had heard city side was noisy because of the freeway being so close, which it was. ... But our room was amazingly comfortable and quiet and the view is nice. I slept very well, except some nights there was some pounding going on, but other than that it was very restful. The pool is on the smaller side and shallow, but nice enough to wade around in. The hot tub was wonderful, so relaxing at the end of a hectic day. Quick and easy access to and from the freeway. It only took us 15 minutes to get over the Bay Bridge into the city. The breakfast was about average compared to other continental breakfasts if you get there early enough before they run out of things. The staff was friendly, and we had zero problems checking in with Orbitz. We were very happy staying there and will probably end up staying there again.

Great Hotel
J. Aug 24, 2009
The overall experience at this hotel was great. the location could have been better, even the staff warned to not go out at ... night. Other than that this hotel was phenomenal. The complimenteray brekfast was great, it had lots of variety. the pool and spa was large enough and pretty vacant so one could have it all to themselves. The rooms were fair and quiet. A great experience for the price.

Good price, got room and rental car cheaper than the hotel my company suggested. Quiznos and starbucks in walking distance. Very happy with hotel , but staff not the smartest group of folks.

Unbelievably great stay!
Mom on a budget Aug 17, 2009
This hotel was clean & modern and had all the amenities we needed. Best thing of all is the free shuttle service. We were ... in town to see my daughter's dance performance, and were able to get to and from the theater with the hotel's shuttle. They will also pick you up at the airport but be sure to call and arrange it with them first! Very friendly and helpful staff. Continental breakfast with the water view is unbeatable (be sure to try the make-your-own waffles!) Nighttime dining is less convenient, but again, the shuttle will take you to a restaurant and pick you up when you're done. Or you can ask at the front desk for menus of restaurants that deliver. Great price, great staff, great place to stay!

Great Location...strange issues
Coastie Dad Aug 13, 2009
Booked room that was supposed to be water view with King bed and pull out. This type of room didn't exist when we arrived. ... We were informed that we would have to pay $25 extra per day to get a room with two queen beds to accommodate us. "Queen double rooms are not offered to discount bookers" was the message given by management. Also that no water view rooms were available. For a 7 night stay this eliminated a balcony and view we would have enjoyed. Also wireless was spotty and slow. SF summers was cool and so was the pool. Only saw two swimmers during our 7 night stay. The breakfast that we paid extra for was good however, but was "another amenity not offered to discount bookers."

We requested a junior suite and received a room that was a bit larger than a standard room. It was large enough to include a ... small couch. Even though we booked a jr. suite, we were charged an extra $30 per night for a room that included a pull out couch. The hotel had no roll away beds available. The continental breakfast was average.

When I checked in, the front counter was very dirty. There appeared to be dried blood stains or coffee stains on the ... counter. The entrance doors needed cleaning. The glass was dirty. The bagels and croissants were not worth eating. The quality of them was very bad, as if they were purchased at a 99 cent store. Additionally, the bagels and croissants were VERY SMALL.
