The Camper's Delight
Fan of young Bob Dillon at Clyde Common Dec 1, 2009
Loved the music playing in the lobby and the vinyl selection at the desk. The haircare products were to die for. I'll be ... placing an order. Staff was personable and professional in a relaxed way. Location is ideal for experiencing Portland's urban delights. Curious to know if pets are allowed in all rooms. It would be conforting to know that there are designated rooms for animal guests.

nice hotel

it is a nice hotel for the price I paid. I was there for the SuperComputing 09 conference. All other hotels were booked, so ... hesitantly reserved a room. To my surprise, the room was really clean and the hotel overall is pretty neat. There is no breakfast service though. Since its in the downtown, you will find a lot of restaurants around.

It's a Must Stay Hotel!
a university student Sep 18, 2009
Although the room wasn't as big as I had imagined, I was traveling with two other friends who also goes to university with ... me, we don't require much to make us comfortable and the 3 separated bunk beds certainly made us very happy. I reserve the room the day before we arrive, was very last minute, so I was very happy for the price I paid and how good the hotel turn out to be. The hotel definitely spent a lot of money and thoughts into decorating, for I'm an architecture student, I loved all the characteristics they brought into every corner of the hotel. It was also very helpful that the hotel website provided lots of pictures of the hotel rooms and confirmed my will of staying in this hotel.

Awesome!!
O Aug 10, 2009
Walking into the Ace Hotel front desk, the staff greeted me wish cheer. Check-in was a breeze and I was in awe of the very ... hip and cool feel of this hotel. The lounge areas were filled with people hanging out with a lively vibe. My room was completely spotless and very comfortable. Soft carpet, VERY comfortable beds and a great decor made the room inviting and added to the wonderful ambiance. I forgot a toothbrush, and front desk personally sent one up within minutes of the call. That saved me a trip to the drugstore. One of my mornings I had a chance to try the hometown favorite: Stumptown coffee. The cafe was adjacent to the lobby. Ace Hotel's central location was excellent with a couple bars just across the street and Powell's books a block away. Excellent restaurants were not far! I loved it!!

I had a great stay. The room was perfect. I had booked a shared bathroom single but they upgraded me to a standard room with ... a private bathroom. Great bar downstairs. Most of the staff were enthusiastic and friendly.

Hipster-haven!
Goldie May 8, 2009
We stayed in one of the quieter rooms facing the back of the building (hence no view to speak of, but we weren't there to ... spend time in the room). I loved that the Ace Hotel included a high-powered hair dryer! And it was really nice to have Stumptown right next door to grab a coffee on the way out for the day.

fun and unique hotel
Amy Sep 22, 2008
the ace hotel in portland was very nice. the staff when we checked in were extremely friendly. The first appearance of the ... hotel is very unique and reminds you of old style apartment buildings. Our room was a great size and decorated with amazing art. The location of the hotel is a walking distance from the downtown area in Portland. Overall our stay was great and the hotel was a fun place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone.
