Beach view is beautiful!

When we checked in we had a room that was "smoking" even though we had requested a non-smoking room. The desk clerk treated ... us like she was doing us a favor by moving us to a non-smoking room that was just as grimy looking as the first room. This room is much too pricy for the accomodations that we received.

The room appeared to be tired. They had added some newer features but old decor and worn paint was noted. It was far from ... what I would have expected for an ocean side hotel.

Nice hotel on quiet end of beautiful beach. Oceanfront room definitely worth it! Clean, comfortable & well appointed room ... with great view. Lots of onsite parking.

A little weary about staying here, have never stayed here before. However, when my husband and I got to the hotel to check ... in, we were pleasantly surprised. What a fantastic place. It is quiet on the beach around us but still not far from all the activity on the Boardwalk. Very nice rooms, extremely nice staff and it couldn't have been better. The only thing that could have made this trip better was to have more time to spend there. Will DEFINITELY stay here again - can't say that we will stay anywhere else when we go back. Definitely recommend.....

Not Exactly What We Expected

Me and my wife decided to go to the beach for a couple days while i was home on RR from Afgahnistan! Well we decided to get a ... fairly nice room and what was supposed to be a three star hotel and when we got there reality set in and we realized that even though we thought we saved over 300 dollars we actually got less than we paid for at a discounted rate! First the room we ended up with was nothing like the pictures we saw yes it had a king bed and yes it had two room but no sink no cabinets no table and chairs we did have a fridge in the corner of one of the rooms and we had a microwave beside the tv and we had a 1 cup coffee maker the bath room was dirty and the recliner that was in the room was broken if you put your legs up you would surely get scratched. The alarm clock that was in the room wasnt plugged in as it was missing the plug and when we got a new one it worked it just didnt have and alarm on it that worked! The housekeeping staff didnt show up the second day we were there untill 4pm and then gave us dirty looks cause we were in the room and we felt so uncomfortable we left and had an early dinner, only to find when we got back their idea of squeekie clean (as they say) wasnt any clean that i have ever seen more like a mask or lets just pull the covers up and hope they dont notice that we didnt give them any more toilet paper or towels or vacume of even spray something in the shower at least to make it smell clean! My only praise for this hotel is the resturant while we only drank at the bar it was beautiful and both bartenders were very friendly while i will NEVER EVER stay at the Whyndham hotel i will visit the bar!

It was okay, it was on the quiet end of the strip, but the pictures make the pool look much bigger than it is, there is no ... staff supervision around the pool so the max occupancy was way exceeded and people didnt watch their kids very well, but it was in a good location, the rooms, hallways and elevators could have been ALOT cleaner than they were, and one elevator is broke (has been for months i heard) so it took forever to get to your room with only two elevators running. The in-house resturant was very good and the housekeeping staff were nice, but the front desk is CLUELESS!

Overall the staff was very friendly. The pool is small and not as pictured on the website. The cleaning staff needed some ... additional training on how to clean! It was an okay place to stay, but I would not stay again. Beware - they are a pet friendly hotel, with only 5 rooms that allowed pets - which they did not enforce. We had a barking dog next door and dog poop all along the walk way to the ocean!!!!

I paid as much on Orbitz as if I had booked directly through the hotel web site. They didn't offer the room configuration ... and you did-? I wanted to book 2 queens with ocean view and all they offered was King with partial views. They had no hospitality rooms if you arrive early. They put you in a pool bathroom to change. It is filthy, not sandy, filthy. Grime on both sides of the door. Grime in between the tiles on the floor. To get into my bathing suit, there is no place to put your clothes but on this floor. Up to the room, mold between shower tiles. Carpet is navy. Edges are white with dust, etc. End table was moved to locate an outlet, white and dusty. No free breakfast. Checked in at 4 PM and out at 11AM. Without the ocean view, there would be absolutely no reason to be there whatsoever.

Good for the money and the location.

I've been to other Wyndham Hotels, but this one was not so great. Nevertheless, for the money it was a very good beachfront ... location and accessible facilities.

Employees were friendly and eager to please. Location was good though separate from the majority of Boardwalk hotels. Hotel ... could be cleaner. Bathroom tiny. On first two days I had to make special call to get regular coffee. (Responsive when I did call but I shouldn't have had to call.)

Small unheated outdoor pool was so cold even in the summer. The indoor pool was extremely small and not very clean. When we ... came back to a room at about 5 pm after spending the day out for activities we came back to find that our door was still propted open by the cleaning staff from earlier that day. So we were just lucky that no one robbed us blind! Housekeeping did not do a very good job cleaning and didn't replish towels and things for the room.

Found condoms on dresser, mold in bathroom, ceiling needs paint - not offered compensation for same - they said I could take ... it up with Orbitz as I had prepaid....I would have to get $ from Orbitz? Yeah right! They offered me no receipt, said use internet confirmation from Orbitz as receipt.

I am not use to having rooms not clean, vacuum, dusted. and Bathroom ceiling has too much water damage. Around the perimeter ... of the shower, it water linking from above. Glass on doors not cleaned, bugs dead on curtains. Hotel old and need face lift.

Great stay last year, horrible this year

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel last year to celebrate his birthday, and we had a fantastic time. The room, ... location, and service was great!! So this year we decided to head to the Wyndham again. We were both very excited to enjoy another great stay. However, as soon as we entered the room we encountered problem after problem! First of all, the room required a general cleaning. In the bathroom, the toilet was covered in urine, and the sink pipes leaked on the floor. The sheets on the bed were dirty, with black marks on the top sheet. The fridge did not close, and water was leaking on the carpet. After a visit to the front desk, they promised to send someone up to fix the sheets, toilet, and fridge. The staff grilled my boyfriend on what exactly "he wanted them to do," totally oblivious to the urine and dirty sheets. After a half hour of this, we had a newly made bed and working fridge. The next day we also discovered that the wireless internet signal was not strong enough to reach us at the far end of the hotel. It would work for about a minute or two and then timeout. This was very frustrating. Also, the the outlet nearest to the iron and ironing board did not work. The second outlet did work on the opposite side of the room, however when you plugged into the wall the entire outlet moved (pushed into the wall). Finally, the overall facilities were in disrepair. Two of the three ice machines did not work. There was paint peeling by the elevators, the maids left tons of empty boxes and trash by the elevators, and the hot tub was almost as cold as the pool. Needless to say, next year we will be looking for another hotel to stay in.

IT WAS A NICE HOTEL, WASNT CLEAN THOUGH. THE STAFF WERE GREAT AND THE FOOD AND BAR WAS OUTSTANDING. THE HOTEL NEEDS WORK. THE ... TUB WAS STOPPED UP AND THE FLOOR WAS DIRTY. ONCE WE GOT OVER THAT WE HAD A NICE TIME. WE JUST HUNG OUT ON THE BEACH AND HAD DINER AT THE HOTEL. ROOM SERVICE WAS GREAT. I WILL GO BACK TO VA BEACH BUT MIGHT NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

I was well-pleased with the quality of the hotel overall. Our room had a direct view of the ocean which really was second to ... none. Although the facility itself wss somewhat older, the accomodations were great, and the staff was very attentive. The Ocean Grille restaurant was another plus, with great food at reasonable prices. The location is not too far from the strip, perhaps 12-15 blocks.
