concert getaway

WE stayed at motel 2 nights and went to 2 concerts. The temp. in the room was a little humid/warm. The bathroom was not ... handicap friendly..toilet seat is too low and shower was slippery. Overall, the motel is great, the pool was nice..breakfast was great. I would stay there again.

Dinner down the street for kilometers so no drinking by at least one of you. We bought our 'liquor' at a petrol station - where we encountered some freaky locals - and headed back to the room for a warm night in. Breakfast was a free for all fight for about 8 tables and consisted of more waffles and white bread, bad coffee and screaming children and americans.

Middle of Nowhere

Really clean and worth its price but its kind of in the middle of nowhere. We ended up buying liquor and sitting in our room ... after a nice Thai meal at Elephant Thai down the road. Atascadero itself is midway between LA & San Fran but its quiet and kind of nothing. Old people took over the pool and reception lady vague and confused when we asked for wine glasses. If you are just heading through and want to put your head down, this is cheap and good quality. The bathroom fan sounded like liftoff and the aircon had a mind of its own and was so noisy we opted for the heat rather than comfort>

Enjoyed our stay

We were visiting for a family wedding. We were not at the hotel much-the pool area was small-had we brought our 3 children ... they would have gotten bored fast. Seating was limited at times in the breakfast area and when busy at the breakfast they were running out of utensils. They were also very strict on the 6 - 9 breakfast time. Our rooms were nice, clean, and staff were friendly.

Not only were areas close by for some fun shopping, there were old buildings with classic decor to relax in with a cool ... beverage. Very comfortable rooms and charming staff.

Very friendly for weekend getaway

The Best Western was great in most catagories, the complimenary breakfast was poorly maintained,with not enough food for the ... quests,unless you wanted toast. but coffee was in short supply, o.j. also mostly gone, the waffles were mostly not there. One day I was able to get a yougurt, but the bananas were bad. The night we arrived, after unpacking our luggage for a three night stay, we had to move, the bathroom flooded and we do not know why or where the water came from(maybe an adjoining room?). But the staff were nice, the place is beautiful, the pool and hot tub were very nice.
