good spot for Santa Cruz overnight

Needed a place in the area for an overnight. This worked very well. The room was quiet. Only down side were really tiny ... parking spots, but it was nice to be walking distance to the beach, and the price was right.

We used the motel for a economical place to stay (two rooms) while visiting realatives in the city. Only used it to "crash" ... at night and for the continental breakfast. Rooms were nice and were clean. Breakfast area was nice and provided a very good continental breakfast including waffles. Only complaint was that one of the room's airconditioner/heater did not work though we did not need it.

room was very spacious, a separtate living room with couch and tv was nice, bathroom with jucuzzi was also nice, and a ... separate king sized bedroom. We enjoyed ourselves.

We had to check out a day early because our child was very sick, we had to get him home. The hotel staff was very ... accomodating and moved us to a different room the first night without charge, since our child was having a hard time and crying a lot. We didn't want to bother any other people, so they put us at an unoccupied corner of the hotel. When we needed to leave early, they said they would do it without any charges or fees. Wonderful staff, very helpful. The only concerns we had were the pool towels- they were perfect size for my 1 year old, haha. It didn't matter much since it was so warm out, but if it was cold out that would have been an inconvenience.

The Pacific Lodge is .2 miles from the ocean. I didn't stay in the room very much but I did not like that there wasn't a ... double lock on the door. There were no "Do Not Disturb" signs. The carpet had not been cleaned and they do not clean the tub everyday or change the sheets daily.

It is so expensive that I found a Trader Joe's to buy food and take back to the hotel. A hamburger and soft drink was $25.00. Couldn't afford that so I made my own sandwiches.

I was there for one night for business. It was available and priced right. The room itself was relatively clean, but ragged ... with some holes in the wall for wiring and patched wallpaper. The lobby area was very run down.

We found this hotel the same day we went. It seemed like a good price, but turns out we could have gotten cheaper by calling ... the hotel. It was a great location, very close walking distance to warf and Boardwalk. The rooms had an "older" smell to them, but were very clean. The staff was friendly and the rooms were quiet.

We have to beautifull days on the beach and the santa cruz boardwalk and nightlife. It is a good location to spend some days ... with the children or with your partner. Sometimes the internet speed was very bad but that is not the reason to stay in santa cruz.

my family went to hang out at the beach and boardwalk the distance from our room to the boardwalk was great very close ... walking distance we didn't have to pay for parking which was great!!! The bad thing about the room is it had a awful smell not a very clean smell. And it was a little loud in the morning. Other then that our stay was nice.

Badly dated furniture, but clean room with fresh carpet, wallpaper & linens. Friendly staff. We were in a king room, and ... there was only one armless dining room type side chair. It would have been much nicer with a couple of nice comfortable chairs.

The hotel isn't the best but it's a good price. Very close to the Boardwalk and cute shops downtown. A cleaner room would ... have made this stay more enjoyable. There was dust stuck all over the walls and the carpet was filthy. Overall it was an ok hotel, good location.

The Ocean Pacific Lodge is convienently located close to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and Warf. It is clean, comfortable ... and has a friendly staff. Pool area closed @ 9:00pm....10:00 pm would be more reasonalble.
