they charged me an extra $50 because I wanted two beds!!!!!! this was at CHECKIN!!! [...]This is a 30% increase to my hotel ... stay. This was wrong!!! I've been traveling for almost 30 years and this has never happened. I will NEVER STAY at this hotel again. I also told the staff and they said we had a premium room... if it was a king bed it would not have cost us the extra money.[...]

Tiny room but comfy/great service
Anonymous Oct 26, 2009
Great location for a weekend getaway - perfect place to shop and dine after a day out and if you choose your route right, the ... 20 minute walk to the Freedom Trail will take you through many of the scenic attractions (newbury st, boston common, state house etc). Tiny tiny room but comfy and staff/room service was great - get a bigger room if staying longer than a weekend, other than that great!

Great Location

We had never been to Boston before and wanted to stay somewhere that was near good transportation and within walking distance ... of sites that tourists are interested in as well as near excellent shopping. Copley Square Hotel met all of these requirements. Our room which was an interior room was very quiet although it did not have a view. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would definitely have no hesitation staying there again on our next trip.

Boston has a great subway transportation system including to and from Logan Airport. If you are planning on staying a few days purchase a subway pass for a week (15 dollars) and enjoy unlimited travel.

Although the bad clam came from Snap Jack's, we will continue to eat there in the future.

Outstanding in all respects!

We loved the hotel and the location. Rooms were tastefully decorated in soothing colors and nice furnishings - great ... details, like bed side lamps wth dimmers. The staff couldn't have been nicer - everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help with whatever we needed (ie dinner reservations, valet service to airport, etc). Location is outstanding. If you are looking for a smaller, personal hotel with great amenities a fair price, this is it!

Fantastic people in time of illness!
Vicki Jul 20, 2009
After checking in on Friday night we went two blocks for dinner were we tried fried clams for the first time. Unfortunately, ... I was the one that ate the bad one. Around 10:45 we called the front desk after I had been sick for over an hour and the night manager came to the room and helped my mother-in-law stay calm while EMS was called. During the wait, a security person, I think his name was [...], came to the room and sat on the floor near the bathroom and kept be calm until EMS personnel arrived. They both saw to it that my mother-in-law was calm and was put into the ambulance to ride to NE Medical Center with me. When we returned at 4:30 AM, the night clerks were very caring and offered to supply anything we need. The next morning at breakfast, she was again approached by the staff to check on my condition and to offer any support. They sent up dry toast and tea on a tray for me as directed by the doctor. We will definitely stay at the Copley Square Hotel on future visits to Boston.

A very nice hotel in Boston

Superbly located. Friendly, less huge and less impersonal than most hotels of this category. We liked the modern design and ... deco of this old historical hotel.
