Great for the price!
craigerv Jan 31, 2010
Just in town for a quick ski trip. The hotel is about 4 blocks from the gondola which is fine walking distance for me. ... There are a few restaurants that are decent in the Heavenly Village that are walking distance too. We stayed in a deluxe double. The word deluxe doesn't really mean deluxe. The room just had a few features that were recently refinished. The whole room had been freshly repainted and wood refinished. The bathroom looked repainted and the shower looked new. The beds were 90s looking doubles but the mattresses were new. The furniture was rustic looking and the drawers were broken but it was well cleaned. The carpet was also fairly new. The whole room was wood, even the ceiling, but it looked newly refinished. Pretty small, but for just my Dad and I it was plenty of space. We were happy to find a fridge too. For the price, this place is hard to beat. Dirt cheap, and very decent accomodations. One caveat though, the walls were pretty thin. We had a few rowdy guests above us and we could hear everything they said as well as the adjacent rooms' television.

FYI, Womack's Texas BBQ joint sounds like a great idea, but it's a hole-in-the-wall in a bad way. I'm always game for BBQ but it was very small, very noisy, no beer on tap, and everything was served on cheap styrofoam plates.

3 Peaks Resort

We were in town for my friend's wedding and decided to stay somewhere off of the main road. I'm glad that we picked 3 Peaks ... Resort because it was just the cutest little venue I've seen in a while. The place a nice homey feel to it and is a decent size. It would have been nice if the bedrooms were a little larger, but the rest of the small house was great. The fireplace gave off good amounts of heat and the kitchen was nice enough, especially with an actual stove, we could actually cook. This is a great little place for that cabin feel out in the snow covered mountains.

Everything is nice except that they should call it a poolside "studio" rather than a suite cause it's a little small for a ... suite. The bed, pillow and blanket is very cozy and soft. Seems like the room has been renovated recently with 40" Tv and Bose stereo. I just wish that they have a showerhead with hose and a rain showerhead, the fixed showerhead is too high. Overall good value and nice stay.

This was a great place to stay. I paid for the cheapest room and they upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment. My king size ... bed was extremely comfortable. The location is great, off the main road yet within walking distance to the casinos and Heavenly. The hot tub was two tier and huge, be sure to bring your bathing suit. Also the jacuzzi bathtub in the room was great for after-ski aching muscles. This was a really nice place to stay!

We were just running up for a quick ski trip and looking for a clean, inexpensive hotel to stay in. What we found was a gem! ... Much of it looked remodeled. The lobby was nice. Staff professional. Rooms very clean, comfortable and attractive. Great beds and plenty of room. Free wi-fi. Walking distance to the lift. Great price! We'll keep this one at the top of our list

The location is walking distance to Heavenly and the Casino's... the front desk staff were not friendly but not too rude. No ... microwave but had fridge. This hotel allows pets...One of the rooms we booked smelt like a dog peed on the floor and they cleaned it up with detergent. Dogs whining for their owners kept me up some nights...I would not stay in a hotel that allows animals ever again!

In need of a stress free getaway! Dec 31, 2009
After reading some of the reviews I was scared that there might be some surprises when we got there that might put a damper ... on the vacation but we loved our stay so much that we wish we could stay there forever. A little home away from home. I know they just renovated some of the rooms and that people have been getting older rooms that are unlike the descriptions or pictures but ours was right on the money... Huge flat screen TVs, Jacuzzi bath tub, kitchen with the works, fire place... This place is our new favorite and I only felt bad not letting others in on it which is why I wrote this review.... I wish I could keep it a secret forever!!!!

The hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to casinos and restaurants. [...] There are only 2 king deluxe rooms with ... a fireplace in the entire resort. NOT GOOD
Kristen Dec 16, 2009
The trip to Tahoe was awesome but the experience at the hotel wasn't. [...] The hotel rooms look like motel 6 rooms.[...]. ... When we actually got to the hotel our room we were assigned was unlocked, the door was open, tools were laying everywhere and there were vents all over the ground. The person at the front desk upgraded us to a junior suite which was nice. That night we turned on the ceiling fan and when we were sleeping the part surrounding the bulb flew off and hit my friend in the ankle. We told the mangaer and after 3 times of trying to get ahold of him..he basically blew me off! the management was awful! The room we ended up staying in was nice but you have to pay a price which isnt worth it to get it.

not that great
Sad Snowboarder Dec 14, 2009
Not a bad hotel for $69/night, which is the deal we got on [...]. I would be terribly disappointed paying double during peak ... season. The front lobby was very nicely decorated in a modern/urban sort of way, but the rooms were cheesey 1970s and a total disappointment. Aside from the tacky decor, the carpets were wet (from recent cleaning, but still...), the bed too soft, and the toilet clogged. We travel to South Tahoe frequently during the winter, but we will definitely not stay here again!

KJ Nov 3, 2009
Although we enjoyed our room, it did have a distinct odor. Not sure if it used to be a smoking room, or housed many pets in ... the past. Friends who stayed the same night payed less for the exact same room that had 2 Queen beds instead of 1 King. NO Point in "Upgrading" to a King Deluxe.
