The 3 Peaks Resort and Beach Club is the finest non-smoking, pet friendly, family resort in South Lake Tahoe. We offer a true mountain vacation experience. Our hotel is just a short walk to private beach, casinos, heavenly gondola and golf courses. There is free wireless internet in all guest rooms. Please note our pool will be closed for the winter season starting on 10/26/09. It will re-open in June 2010. Our hotel is currently under construction until November 9, 2010.
All room rates are based on double occupancy. There is a charge for children 12 years old and older.
Pets are welcome for a charge of $20 per pet, per night - maximum of two per room.
Note: A 4% resort fee will be levied at time of check-in.

Nice room, but had a bad odor

Although we enjoyed our room, it did have a distinct odor. Not sure if it used to be a smoking room, or housed many pets in ... the past. Friends who stayed the same night payed less for the exact same room that had 2 Queen beds instead of 1 King. NO Point in "Upgrading" to a King Deluxe.

Good deal and close to shopping

For the price it was nice. The room was clean and we were able to walk everywhere near downtown. The refrigerator moaned but ... we were tired and could fall asleep. The window/wall heater was noisy but very efficient. If I HAD to take my pet with me I would stay again.

This was the first time we stayed here and I was pleasantly surprised. I am planning another trip back. This is tucked ... away, right off the "main drag". The property has a "woodsy-nature" feel to it. We went in the summer and it was like camping without the tents and I had an air conditioner. To us it was the perfect location. I can't walk long distances without having to stop alot, however most everything really was within walking distance as advertiswed. The Heavely Valley gondola and shopping is two blocks one direction, the beach is two blocks in the other direction, and the casinos were two-three blocks the other. The property has a "woodsy-nature" feel to it. The rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful and accomodating. There is no restraunt or dining facility on the property, but a great steak house across the street. I'll definatelty be back.

The hotel was located near the base of the Heavenly ski resort with ease to local shopping and casino activities. I enjoyed ... the cabin-like decor in the room. I plan to book a reservation again in the near future and bring my dog to enjoy the gorgeous South Lake Tahoe area since this hotel is pet friendly.

The location is perfect for people that enjoy a walk in the town. Perfect for restaurants, shopping and casinos. The staff is ... not so friendly, since I had asked for a cab and no one showed up, I approched the gentleman in the front desk...who by the way was busy playing pool, and asked if he could check on the cab for me. He made a face and grasp as if he was in the middle of something important and said he could not call again since the cab was already called once...so he went to the back room instead and never called the cab until us girls had to walk up to the main street to wait for one. The room was not as big as expected and all the amenities were not there as listed. Other than that, it was a good suite with a clean pool.

The hotel location was good. A couple blocks in from the main road that had a lot of attractions and a couple block to the ... beach. The hotel had two floors and we were on the 1st floor. You could hear those upstairs - walls really thin. If you are a light sleeper and/or have a party crowd upstairs you wouldn't get much sleep.

I came to town for a wedding and to hang out with friends so I knew I wouldn't be spending a great deal of time in my room. ... However, the room did have terrible odor which turned out to be in a few of the rooms. It was no longer noticiable after an hour or so but that was a long hour. The tub filled up with water when showering so if a second person wanted to shower they'd have to wait about 20 minutes for the tub to drain. That and the nob to turn the water on was very odd. The location was wonderful, the staff helpful, and the bed incredible. It was very nice being able to open up the windows and catch a nice breeze, or walk 5 min down to the lake.

Even if you're not skiing, take the gondola up for the view -- it's magnificient. The top floor of Harrahs has a dinner buffet which is definitely worth the cost and that view at night is beautiful.
