1) We were on vacation and did shopping in area. 2) Not at all. 3) It was a very good trip much better then the last one ... we took two years ago to New Mexico.

Plenty of shopping areas to see and the hotel car service would take us there and pick us up when we were ready to call for a ride back to the hotel.

Money well spent!!

The DoubleTree Downtown is a very lovely hotel. Bright, wide open spaces make the hotel very inviting and friendly; easy to ... get around in. The staff always had a smile and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. My room was amazing! Tons of towels, incredibly clean and the bedding was awsome. The fitness center was very impressive, and although I appreicated the outdoor pool, the area was very small as well as the pool. But if you enjoy sunbathing and need a quick dip to cool off, it was pretty decent. The location is PERFECT. Cheaper than than Hyatt and better service, according to my friends who opted to stay there during our conference. A super plus is you don't need to pay for shuttle!!! Double Tree takes you anywhere (in 3 mile radius) and picks up from the airport~ FREE!!! Not so with Hyatt. Although the business center contained only 2 computers and sometimes you would have to wait, the waiting room was very open and comfortable. Also, a virtue and vice, the limit is 15 minutes. The computers shut down after 15 so it manages those who hog the computers. Just make sure your business is done in 15 min though. Everything is wi-fi so not a problem if you have your own laptop. Location is GREAT, Great, Great!!!! Shopping, eating, Convention Center all a few walking minutes. I would VERY MUCH reccommend the Double Tree!!! I am very satisfied and pleased with my choice; if ever back in Alburquerque will definetly return.

Good hotel, lots of one way streets but to be expected in a downtown location. Easy to find. Cookies yummy. There were ... moths everywhere. May be just one of those things you get in Albuquerque? I needed another mirror outside of the bathroom.

Comfortable, but not great for dining
Amanda Dec 17, 2008
When we travel for work, we like to eat at the hotel restaurants at the end of the day to avoid unnecessary commutes. The ... restaurant at the Doubletree in Albuquerque was sort of, almost, okay (but not quite). The service was good, but the food quality and selection was certainly below average. The hotel was clean, comfortable, pleasant and worth the money, and the staff was very helpful and attentive. Just avoid it if you care about the dining experience!

They Aim to Please
Shirley Dec 6, 2008
From the moment I entered this hotel until the morning I left, the staff worked hard to please. I was there for one full week ... and every interaction with the hotel staff was the same - pleasant and professional. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The in-room services were great.
