Not great at all
A generous customer Feb 4, 2010
The woman at the front desk was very rude and unfriendly. The people checking in before be were traveling from another ... counrty and the woman that helped them was impatient, short and not friendly. When she helped me she was short and rude and I felt like she just wanted me out of her way. She needed to check her attitude and personal problems at the door. People dont need to be treated like that when they are paying hard earned money to stay the night out of town.

Good Hotel
Lorena Jul 11, 2008
This room was a good size for three people. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Parking is not easy in ... San Francisco, but we were always able to get a parking space at the hotel--we usually had our car back at the hotel by mid-afternoon. Within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, which made it very convenient.

My review of Travelodge by the Bay
Gerard Aug 19, 2007
The Travelodge by the Bay is very close to Ghiradelli's, the Embarcadero, Wharf, etc. Easy access both in and out of San ... Francisco as Lombard goes directly to the Golden Gate Bridge and the Presidio. It's location also allowed for easy access to Coit Tower. Check-in and out was extremely easy, the staff friendly and accomodating. Facilities are very basic - a room and bath, but clean and satisfactory. A good choice for a reasonably priced visit to the sites of S.F.

Great location for Public Transportation
larry Jul 21, 2007
The staff at Travelodge by the Bay was very friendly and always helpful. Our requests were met promptly. We found the ... location very convenient when having to rely on public transportation. Stockton bus route #30 was easily accessible from the motel, allowing us to get dropped off closer to the wharf area as well as to travel to Union Square and China Town districts. We arrived on a Monday and were able to purchase a weekly pass (Mon.-Sun.) for only $15. With this pass, cable cars were only $1 extra to ride rather than the regular $5 fare rate. Locations to buy bus passes were a little hard to find. We finally purchased ours at a Safeway market; better yet, purchase pass at the airport.

good value for the miney
Sue Apr 20, 2007
Travelodge by the Bay was in an ideal location. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a large room with ... two bathrooms, one with a vanity area and toilet and the other with a tub, shower and toilet. As odd as this may seem, it was quite convenient. My only complaint about the room was it was poorly lit, especially for someone who wanted to read. I had to get my own reading lamp. My only other suggestion would be for the hotel owners to invest more in breakfast. Calling their pre-package danish and coffee with powdered cream a continental breakfast is a misuse of the term. I think it would be less offensive to serve nothing at all. I would go back to Travelodge, however, and have already recommended it to friends and relatives.

The Bay is about a 10 minute walk. Along the bay there is every kind of tourist attraction imaginable including shopd of every kind.
