girlfriend getaway

Chris Nov 17, 2009

we booked this trip as a package and tried to keep cost down. Upon check-in we were told that we were in the internet ... hotels because we had booked online. These buildings called the "manors" were so far away and completely detached from main hotel and if I had been traveling alone, actually quite unsafe. They did not have hairdryers or coffee pots. the mattress' on the beds were quite old and uncomfortable. The walls were thin and you could hear noise from adjoining rooms. I would suggest to spend a little more, because without a good nights sleep its hard to have a good time.

Pay extra, don't stay at Circus Circus

jazzyjaff Nov 16, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

The first room we were given had miserable beds. The springs were sticking out and we had to upgrade. The next room was okay. ... It was clean. Our first impression was lasting. Although the next room was great, the first one was offensive. Just because we were looking for a great rate for a mid week short vacation did not mean we were willing to accept low standards. The second room we were given came at an additional expense. There was not even a coffee pot in the room. Also I would only recomend you book a room in the main tower. I would not stay in the Manor.

Stay at Circus Circus in Las Vegas

Rodman Nov 15, 2009

We were told that they upgraded us which was exciting since my wife and I have never been to Las Vegas! Well we got to the ... room and pulled the curtains back to only see concrete - Room 966! That was our view! We made the best of it and we might have spent a told of 3 hours in the room each day. Would have really like a better view! The buffet was not worth the $30, you get better service at the McDonalds located outside the Circus Circus as long as you can ignore all the bums! You get what you pay for and we ate at the MGM the second night ($80) and it was worth every penny! The show at Circus Circus was not very good at all so next time (if we go) we will stay at another location for sure!

The hotel is a bit further down the Strip than I had thought, but its perfect for those who like 'quiet' and family-oriented ... hotels. The staff was very friendly. We asked for available room upgrades and they were very quick in accomadating us. We arrived before the check-in time so the Bell Hops held our luggage until we could get checked in. We dined at The Steak House, and they did NOT disappoint! We didn't have a reservation (recommended!), but they fit us in with no hassle. The food was perfect and the service outstanding; worth every penny. The Circus Cafe' offers more variety and the food is good; service is great. The buffet was a bit on the average side, though presentation and waitstaff smiles were excellent; for those on the go, its a good choice.

Disappointed Nov 12, 2009

The pool was awful. It was like an apartment pool but worse. It was small, nothing around to make you feel like you are on ... vacation at all! It was boring and not heated, which the hotel claims it is. They also claim to have 3 pools, but only saw signs for 1 pool. They still use the old spring matresses, the old itchy blanket, a small tv, no coffee maker in the room and the view was construction of a building that has been abandoned.

Recreation/Attractions tip, Short Walk

Vegas taxi drivers have made an art form at finding the longest route between two points, blaming the traffic. I took a taxi from Ceasars back to Circus, 1.7 miles by foot, twenty minutes by cab, with no stops for traffic, just a curious route in a zig zag pattern. When I complained to the driver, he actually stopped in the middle of the street.

Time savers tip, Long Walk

Long walk to the strip hotels. If you want to see them stay closer as there are many hotels much closer and way nicer than this one.

Money savers tip, Long Walk

Get the 2 for 1 for all shows. It's a long walk on the strip, but the Duce all day or 3 day pass is the way to go.

Dining tip, In Hotel

If you don't want to stand 30 minutes in line for the Breakfast Buffet, go to the Casino cafe, great prices and great food. Order a short stack of pancackes with any item from the menu, and you'll leave as full as if you ate at the buffet. You can also get the endless pancackes breakfast at the cafe.

Sorry, we cannot perform that search at this time. Either the pick-up or drop-off location needs to be an airport.
