Worst stay we've had in quite some time
Couple on their 22nd Wedding Anniversary Sep 30, 2009
The hotel location was great. The front desk staff were very friendly. The cleaning staff appear to have done the best they ... could with what they had to work with. The room had 2 fabric cushioned chairs that were heavily stained. The bed was not level and extremely uncomfortable. There was a nail sticking up in the bathroom doorway floor that I almost cut my foot on. There were old lights on the wall above the bed and beside the dresser that were very old and looked like lights over hospital beds. There was no air conditioning or heating unit in the room. The window didn't lock. The walls and ceilings were paper thin you could hear people in rooms around you and everything in the rooms above you. The sprinkler pipes that had been installed in the room looked like they were made of PVC plastic instead of metal and I would think that they would easily melt down if a fire occurred. The bathroom tub/shower was installed in such a way that no matter what you did, the water ran out of the shower onto the floor. All in all, it was positively the worst hotel room we have stayed in in years.

Good location and room
visiting from boston Sep 20, 2009
We were skeptical based on the reviews but had a great experience. We didn't use the pool but the room was clean and well ... maintained. The best part was being able to walk to the outlet mall behind the hotel, and being able to have dinner at the Applebees next door. Breakfast was decent, pastries cereal juice coffee, but enough to get us going for a day in the area.

Bad Experience
Twins Sep 7, 2009
I booked this hotel with two double beds but ended up with one queen for my family of 4. The staff was not able to accomodate ... at all. We found paper and old gumdrops under the bed when we came in. The part of the hotel that we stayed in was not even attached to the main hotel. The whole hotel needs to be re done. The furniture is old, broken, stains on the chairs, finish on the bureau was coming off, the pool area is full of mold. I would never stay here again.

Bad Experience
J. Cote Jul 27, 2009
Our shower curtain had mold on it. The hot tub was dirty and did not work most of the time. The roof where the pool was ... located leaked when it rained. Also, this roof had visible mold on it. Temperature control in our room was an challenge. It was either too hot or too cold. Our access cards to the room kept getting deactivated. Was glad to get home.

The Mt. Washington Valley Inn needs to work on keeping their premises clean. The upkeep of pool area was such that I could ... not bring myself to use the facilities. It was musty smelling and dirty. The staff was friendly and helpful.
