The Edgewater, Seattle's only waterfront hotel, overlooks Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains, and is situated at the water's edge on Pier 67. Built in 1962 as a temporary structure for the World's Fair, The Edgewater has become a Seattle landmark and a beloved part of the city's history. The illuminated red rooftop "E" provides direction for ships navigating in Puget Sound.
Directly over Elliott Bay, this unique location gives guests the access to waterfront shops & restaurants, Pike Place Market, the trendy Belltown neighborhood, the downtown financial district, Seattle Center - including the Space Needle, the Victoria Clipper, Washington State Ferries and the adjacent Myrtle Edwards Park -all within 5 minutes of the hotel. The Waterfront Street Car Bus operates from Pier 70 to Pioneer Square, offering free transportation along the waterfront.
Recently renovated guest rooms feature redesigned guest bathrooms with garnet-colored walls and white beadboard wainscot; including amber quartz slate flooring, glass surround European spa showers, and white vessel sinks atop absolute black granite counters and stainless steel base.
Like the Northwest, Six Seven offers distinct seasonal experiences. In the winter, diners relax fireside in the lounges overstuffed chairs. In summer months, the restaurant's bayside glass doors open wide, offering guests direct views of ships sailing Elliott Bay and exhilarating vistas of the Olympic mountains - the city's best alfresco meal setting. Guests enjoy cocktails at the glass-topped rough-split timber bar year round.
Valet parking at The Edgewater is $30 + tax per vehicle, per night.

Beautiful location!

All staff were very friendly and professional. Room clean and well appointed - gas fire place, slate tiles, claw foot tub, ... Starbucks coffee. Easy walk to lots of Seattle waterfront attractions - Free Sattle Art Museum sculputre park. Waterside room a MUST! Hotel is built out over the water, and the Waterside view was spectacular! Right outside the window were Ferry boats, kayakers, and sea life.

Nice, older, but remodeled hotel. In-room gas fireplaces are a great touch. Older, noisy individual room heat/ac units should ... be replaced or serviced (ours vibrated the bathroom wall when running). Wireless internet is not free. We had the deluxe city side room while a friend had the regular city side room. Prices were about the same, but the deluxe room had a balcony and sliding door (great alternative to the noisy a/c)and was much larger. Room service menu was adequate and the food very good. Try the king crab legs!

A two night stay i wont forget
Exhausted traveler Nov 25, 2009
It started off well around midnight room next to us decided to have a party till 2:ooam i had hoped hotel security would ... patrol the floors late at night to prevent such activities. We didnt get much sleep first night, then at 7:00am there was a knock at our door it was "room service" i didnt order room service so basicly i couldn't get back to sleep. Now my son and i are exhausted from lack of sleep,we got up went to valet to get our rental car and guess what it had two door dings in right front door it only gets better we came back that night to try and get some rest.Went to bed around 10;00pm at around 6:00 am the fire alarms' went off and we had to evacuate the hotel in to the parking lot"it was pooring down rain. Then got back to room around 7:00am hoping to get some sleep well guess what someone with a key to our room actually opened our door only thing preventing them from coming in was security lock i had on,i never found out who it was so now im totally upset no way i can get back to sleep. So i grabbed my son got our stuff and left we were totally disappointed with our stay.

To much money for what you get
Max Powers Nov 23, 2009
The rooms felt like the walls where made out of cardboard. To noisy! Do not get the street view, you will thank me. Get ... the waterfront view, but the price is BLOATED for that! To expensive for what you get and not worth the price. We had a horrible experience here, and its not because we had a fire alarm at 5 in the morning. Simply because the noise was just ridiculous!

Ask for the complimentary shuttle service. Spent around 100 on taxies by the time we found out they had a mile radius free shuttle service.

Beautiful water views
northsounders Nov 11, 2009
Our view was absolutely gorgeous. We had a waterfront room with a balcony, the room was very clean and cozy, and the staff ... was wonderful. A couple of things detracted from our stay. One, the WiFi was not free. Considering the cost of the room, I feel it should have been, especially since I have stayed at other hotels for cheaper with free WiFi. Two, it was further out from downtown Seattle than I had imagined. To get to the city center, we would have had to take a bus, drive, or take a cab. Taking a bus was not an option for my husband, and the other alternatives were very expensive.

The Edgewater
Walt Nov 10, 2009
We had a 4th floor waterfront room with spectacular views! We also loved the deluxe bath and the gas fireplace. Other ... reviews noted that the passing cruise ships could be noisy, but we never heard them. What we DID hear were loud banging noises a few times. No, not somebody dropping something...closer to a truck slamming into a wall (!). This lowered my rating a bit, otherwise it was a great experience. I would have also preferred a free internet connection (vs. $10 per day) but that is getting pretty rare.

Pier 66- its three restaurants in one. The bottom level is a streetside fast-food style "fish and chip" place, went there for lunch- delicious. Option two, there is a diner style restaraunt, and then a classy restaurant on the top floor. We went there for dinner, and it was FABULOUS. everyting was delicious, such a gorgeous view, great staff, and not over priced. Very classy. Much better than the restarant in the hotel.
