Don't miss Hoover Dam. This was a great thing to see and a value even at the most expensive tour package. Also visit Red Rock or Valley of Fire. Both are great to get you away from the strip. Freemont Street is tryuky cool and worth staying to see multiple shows as they change each hour.

very good hotel, except small problems

joko Feb 1, 2010

Would recommend to a friend!

Very nice hotel, great food. The decoration, the pool, the restaurants, the bedroom, the golf. Everything is very beautiful; ... you really feel you're in a 5 stars hotel. We had the strip view, quite nice even if the Wynn is at the end of the part of the Strip with all the hotels, so u don't enjoy as much i guess as if you are more in the center of the strip. But yeah we could see the wynn show from there and also a bit of the mirage's volcano show. I think the other view (the golf) should be very good too. The bad part of the Wynn was the fact we experienced many problems with our bedroom : no pressure in the shower, the ipod player not working, the fax not working. That's quite annoying. Why would u pay the extra money to get a 5 stars when people are not ensuring that everything works in ur room before u get in. We were more lucky in our previous trip at cheaper but good Mandalay Bay. Fortunately, the response to solve the problems was really fast, so the inconvenience did not last long. So overall very good hotel, if you're not unlucky with the appliances.

A bargain for this property

Limo Phil Feb 1, 2010

Would recommend to a friend!

We have stayed at the Wynn before for conventions. Many of the niceities have gone away such as turn down service. ... Additionally, they made you feel like you were second class at check in because you booked through[...] and insinuated that you would get better service if you had gone directly through them. They made this abundantly clear when they declined our request for a late check out and gave it to our friends who booked through them. (We called at the same time as we were leaving together). The room which we were given this trip was much smaller then previous trips. We were told this was also because we booked through [...] Overall, though this was a great value. The property is great and much nicer then the Pallazzo where our event was held (Got bed bugs there last time in Vegas).

mcl600 Jan 30, 2010

went to the wynn 28 and 29 january 2010 primarily for dinner at alex to celebrate my mom's 75th bday with her and my brother. ... we did the tasting menu+wine and thouroughly enjoyed it. our first nights dinner was at boulud which was most enjoyable, as well. these two meals were the highlight of this trip. i was not satisfied with the small room. the view-room i was talked into did not deliver the view. the room is nicely appointed, just too small for my taste. the hotel itself is just too d@mn big for me. there were way too many people in that place for me to ever feel comfortable. next time i visit vegas i'm going back to the four seasons. the biggest gripe i have is that this hotel has no place for guests to gather. the rooms are too small and the casino area is too noisy and smoke-filled. i would have had a much better experience overall if the three of us had some place in the hotel to hang-out. oh, and like most places in vegas they play canned music in all the public spaces. i didn't realize how awful this becomes after a few days. it definitely gave me the sense that hotel management wanted you gone after a few days.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else

Meg Jan 19, 2010

Would recommend to a friend!

The room was amazing and the view of the beautiful golf course proved to be a nice aspect after being on the crowded strip ... all day. We went to other nightclubs and by far the Wynn has the best decor, music, and atmosphere. I was highly impressed with the prompt response from security, twice, (who came to our door to make sure we were okay) after being kept from sleep due to excessively loud heavy metal music being played in the room next to us. The only complaint was the disappointment in the lack of flavor of the food at tableu and did not feel the quality matched the price. The buffet was wonderful and I would also highly recommend their show LeReve.

Short Walk to the mall

--Jesus, Mexico Feb 4, 2010

Money savers tip, In Hotel

We got the the 75 bucks resort credit; we spent it going to the restaurants (very good)

--joko, belgium Feb 1, 2010

Recreation/Attractions tip, Short Drive

Don't miss Hoover Dam. This was a great thing to see and a value even at the most expensive tour package. Also visit Red Rock or Valley of Fire. Both are great to get you away from the strip. Freemont Street is tryuky cool and worth staying to see multiple shows as they change each hour.

--Limo Phil, Philadelphia, PA Feb 1, 2010

Money savers tip, Short Walk

Cheaper table games with wider variety nearby. Good, cheaper food at the Venetian.

--Worldly Traveler, Baltimore, MD Jan 30, 2010

Dining tip, In Hotel

you must try the fine dining in this hotel. but avoid the cafe's and bars.

--mcl600, southern california Jan 30, 2010

Entertainment tip, In Hotel

Take more time. We didn't have enough time to see all that we wanted to see or do.

--Daws weekend, Michigan Jan 25, 2010

Entertainment tip, Long Walk

Hotel right on the Strip bus route where you can get a 24 hour Deuce pass for $7.

--Linden, Maryland Jan 20, 2010

Money savers tip, Short Walk

Across the street, there's fashion show mall, you can buy less expensive food if Wynn's pricy food offering started to annoy you.

--Tech, San Diego Jan 12, 2010

Dining tip, Short Walk

Maggiono's across the street very good & Sinatras at Encore Food in hotel very pricey.

--Traveller, Austin, Tx Jan 11, 2010

Entertainment tip, Short Drive

We were there for only 3 days so we moved around from site to site quickly. Which included restraunts, shops and a couple of shows. Ask the cab drivers to take the back street... it's quicker.

--Christmas gift for her, Oak Lawn, Illinois Jan 5, 2010

Entertainment tip, Short Walk

Don't miss out on all of the wonderful shows in Las Vegas! Easy to get tickets right across from the Wynn at the big shopping mall.

--Holiday Traveler, San Joaquin Valley, CA Jan 4, 2010

Entertainment tip

Normally, we would buy show tickets on line ahead of our arrival. In this case, we wanted to see Love at the Mirage. Those tickets, on line, were $160 each. We purchased tickets at the Mirage box office for $90 each (since the show was no where near a sell out).

--DrZ, Plano, Tx Jan 4, 2010

Shopping tip

You will see designer brands EVERYWHERE in Vegas - don't buy European brands in the US as it is cheaper in the UK/Europe. Buy American brands instead!

--DND, London Jan 3, 2010

Shopping tip, Short Walk

The mall across the street from the Wynn was great for dining and shopping. The strip burger was a great place to eat.

--Mike and Gina, Cincinnati, OH Jan 2, 2010

--dragonflyelaine, Texas Jan 1, 2010

--Cat, New England Dec 29, 2009

Money savers tip

Utilize bus transportation while in Vegas, busses are super cheap and provide good service every 5 minutes or so. Once you purchase bus ticket, it is good for 24 hours.

Nightlife tip, Short Walk

Money savers tip, In Hotel

when you gamble, make sure you show your room card and have the dealer put your record in their computer. The more time and money you spend, the more points you get. You can trade points for free meals and any kind of service.

--Steph L., Los Angeles, CA. Dec 26, 2009

Dining tip, In Hotel

The Terrace Cafe had the most delicious food and our waiter was the best! We actually went back to see him and enjoy the food one last time on our departing afternoon! Great food! Great service!
