Good value
Softball Mom Nov 9, 2009
Traveled to Salinas for a softball tournament. Great location to the field, less than 5 minutes away. Room was clean and ... roomy. Even though hotel was right off the freeway, it was quiet. The only problem we had was the fridge ran a little loud at night but we unplugged it and slept fine. Continental breakfast was really good, lots of choices.

Worst Mattress of all time.

We have stayed at the Laurel Inn many times over the years. It was always THE place to stay in Salinas. All was good except ... the mattress. It was the worst we have ever experienced.

It's about a 20-30 minute drive to Monterey which is where we went. Beautiful coast, wilderness area, and great weather. The food on the wharf was amazing, and the kids LOVED the aquarium (although a bit over priced in my opinion).

About a 20 minute scenic drive to monteray bay and cannery row. Can't be beat for the price.

Pleasurable Experience
FriendlyFamily May 29, 2009
We stayed here because it was a bit more affordable then places in Monterey, and it was worth it. The staff was friendly, ... and the room was very clean. The only problem I had was they didn't have any extra pillows available during my stay there. I would definitely stay there again if I decide to visit Monterey again. The neighborhood seemed a little worn, but not incredibly bad.

Very good motel made sweeter by the price. Clean rooms, pool looked nice, great location right off the 101 freeway, located ... next to markets, restaraunts, and gas stations. I didnt see a continental breakfast, but they did have coffee.

A pleasant experience...
Gwyneth Aug 3, 2007
The Laurel Inn was a nice Motel experience, it was a basic motel room, there is a restaurant next door. There is one event ... that made my day. When I returned at night,(I stayed two nights) the maid had made up the bed, and had lined up my grandsons stuffed animals left on the bed, neatly and it was just such a nice touch. I appreciated that. There is a restaurant right next door, that was nice. The facility was clean and it was quiet, I will probably stay there again when I return next year.

My review of Laurel Inn Motel
Richard Jul 17, 2007
We really enjoyed our stay at the Laurel Inn. The location was convenient to many area attractions. The room was ... comfortable, quiet and well maintained. We spent three days visiting friends in the area and visiting areas on the California coast and it was an easy place to get to and from. The location off 101 was perfect.
