It was an okay hotel. Not great by any means. I hated that every time we walked out the door the guest service desk tried ... to talk us into buying "reduced" tickets but we had to go to a timeshare demo for 2 hours first. We already have a timeshare and explained that numerous times. The elevators are terrible!!! They need a service elevator. Only one time that we went up to our room or down did a cleaning person not ride with us. They elevators are slow and small.

Awful
MiamiMom Nov 29, 2009
Hated it...the whole place needs a make over. From the moment you step out of the elevator an awful moldy smell greets you. ... The bathroom was disgusting: the shower head was black with mold and the floors were dirty. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Definitely wasn't looking forward to going back to our room after a long day at the parks...we even contemplated leaving a day early. The only good thing I can say is that the sheets were clean. I've stayed in 2-star hotels cleaner than this.

Good Experience
Visiting with Mum Nov 18, 2009
My mother and I went to Disneworld, so what we needed was a location to spend the night at. This hotel fitted perfectly. The ... beds were good. Overall, rather old and, consequently, not really brand new and clean, but okay to spend the night. What was good was the shuttle service to the theme parks. I wish only we had been told in advance that the Magic Kingdom shuttle back to the hotel stops not only at the Magic Kingdom, but rather at the Ticket and Transportation Center location to which one needs to get using Metrorail. Mother wouldn't mind more bath supplies, bathing caps, hand lotions, shampoo, etc. The fountain drink water smelled strongly of chlorine.

Well Traveled Nov 18, 2009
Stayed at the hotel for our trip to see a shuttle launch at NASA and to see Walt Disney World. Although the location was ... convenient and the hotel was reasonably priced, the bathrooms were gross and could really use some work. The wall in our bathroom had water damage and looked like it was about to break open, lots of mold on the tile, the door wouldn't stay open all the way and the sink area is very small. The jacuzzi was very small and water level was very low. Beds were comfortable. The noise we experienced was from other guests letting their doors slam instead of closing them quietly - just a pet peeve of mine and I feel it's inconsiderate to other guests. Also we experienced problems with the room keys not working to our room or to the hotel side door entrance as well as to the pool area. We had to rely on other guests to let us in at times. Also, upon check out, we realized we were charged a "safe fee" each day. It's $1.60 per day - no big deal but don't recall being told of this charge up front. The hotel is close to restaurants so that was nice.

while in orlando, we went shopping and traveled to cocoa beach. we stayed at the orlando vista hotel because of the price ... but was surprised with the lack of amenities. there was no microwave, refridgerator, or snack machines in the room or on the floor for that matter. also the internet was going to cost $6 an hour to use or $10 a day so that was a little rediculous. Anyway, the room was clean, quiet, and friendly.

It's not the Ritz, but the room was clean and well maintained with a friendly, welcoming staff. The location is terrific and ... the price was 1/3 of the convention hotel. Even with round trip cab fare to the convention site it was 1/2 the price.

Able A Nov 8, 2009
Enjoyable stay, especially for the price. Nice clean hotel, which was important to us. There is a shuttle that takes you to ... all the Disney parks, but you have to ask the front desk for the arrival and departure times as they don't freely offer that information. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance for any range of budget (IHOP, Olive Garden, Chili's, and more). Downtown Disney isn't too far -the hotel description says it's within walking distance, but for most people that's not true, plus there's no clear walking route. Overall, we enjoyed our 3 night stay very much.

If you want to save money on food, don't eat at Downtown Disney. Eat close to the hotel and save your shopping for Downtown Disney - it's filled with awesome shops!

This is the second time we have stayed here, and it was just as great as the last time. The rooms are clean, it is in the ... best location, and the best part is the price. We didn't try the shuttle service because last time it wasn't that good, but I heard it got better and they have their own shuttle now.

Downtown Disney is only 3 minutes away if you drive. To get the best access to Disney parks, drive to Downtown Disney by the Ghiradelli Lot 1, and park there. Then walk to the Disney bus stop, which provides buses for ALL Disney parks and resorts. This is the best way to get to the parks without paying a fee and getting dropped off in front. The hotel buses were not that reliable and this was still faster.

Disney Fan Oct 27, 2009
Very close, very nice staff at check in and with cleaning crew, not busy timeshare people, close to restaurants, comfortable ... beds, some kind of bed bugs or fleas, spent a good bit of time using restroom in Lobby because couldn't get to staff at front desk before went to park to report toliet problem and then couldn't find someone at return then couldn't get through line next morning. Very loud with a good bit of noise from parking lot, lot of banging door even cleaning staff very noisy during morning. Good tv reception, no microwave, no refrigerator not good, ice machine on floor broke during half stay. When inquired where there might be a working ice machine was told they thought that another floor might or might not be working.

The room was clean and beds comfortable. The location is great and close to many things. However, my biggest problem was the ... traffic getting there.. the traffic around the I-4 interchange is terrible. The staff at the hotel was great! I asked the staff for directions to a variety of locations and they were happy to help and gave good directions. The hotel has a place to get food but its extremely expensive.. but its right there so ..its whatever you want.

In Orlando, near the Orlando Vista, they have great outlet malls with top brands like Coach, Louis Vuiton, and Fendi at a low price
--Nikki, Alexandria, VA Jun 25, 2009
Don't rely on the shuttle service to get anywhere. The best thing you can do is drive the 1 minute through the Disney Hotel area to Downtown Disney, which is 1 minute away by car. Once there, park in the Parking Area 1. From there, you can walk to the Disney Bus area and get buses to every park, water park, hotel, etc. Most of the buses that are for resorts also make stops at parks, so be sure to ask the driver. This is much more reliable and quicker than using the resort shuttle. Plus you can end your day at Downtown Disney to get something to eat! Parking is easy at Downtown Disney and free, and so are using the Disney shuttles.
