great location and customer service!
traveler Sep 28, 2009
This hotel was great. i was a bit worried because while the location is super convienent, it can be noisy. But hey, it's the ... city. If your looking for quiet- the napa or somewhere would be better. The customer service was great! the rooms are a bit small, but make up for it in decoration and comfort. my only complaint would be the water saver shower... i would definitly go back when staying in the city.

The front desk staff was great! I was given the choice of an inside or street room and mentioned I heard the street rooms ... were noisy... they ended up not being able to put us in the inside room so upgraded us to basically a suite. The room was great, quiet and comfortable!

In the middle of shopping paradise
GJ Aug 6, 2009
We had two days for shopping in San Francisco. The location was great. Just one block away from Market and Union ... Square. There was some noise from opening and closing doors in the hotel. But at night we didn't hear it at all. The room was small but had everything it needed. Even a box to connect your Laptop to the TV. Excellent place to stay. The Italian restaurant next door was superb. Great value for money when you are not going to spend hours in your room.

Very nice hotel, 2 blocks from the BART. The rooms are small, clean and comfortable. I loved the bed and all of the pillows. ... The staff was very friendly and helpful with every request. It was a little noisy, but you are just off Market and Powell. It is a great spot if you are looking for a place centrally located and close to all the major transit types - BART 2 blocks, Cable Car 1 block, Muni everywhere.

Upscale Urban Hotel with Laid Back charm
Laffs Out Loud Jun 1, 2009
Excellent attentive staff from the door porters to the room staff. Front desk was helpful and made excellent suggestions and ... took the time to care about what I needed. When they didn;t know they went on-line to find for me!!! Newly renovated older property, reeks of SFO downscale urban chic, warm colors, well appointed and equipped rooms, packed with the best amenities and definately a younger, hip crowd. Lots of Europeans. Even the room service pricing for lunch and dinner was comparable to an outside restaurant!! No complaints at all. I'll go back there in a heartbeat.

In SFO definately get the Muni Pass, saves you a ton on fares for cable cars, metro, busses and trams. BART to and from the airport brings you just around the corner from this hotel. Get a muni route map.. worth every cent!!

We really enjoyed this boutique hotel - feels/looks newly remodeled; staff was extremely friendly (always greeted us). While ... the rooms were small, they were comfortable & clean. The beds & pillows were so comfortable & relaxing!! Location was fantastic - within a block or two of Union Square. Many great restaurants & cafes within walking distance. Plenty of shopping nearby also. Hotel Abri is a great choice!!

If this is your first or second time to San Francisco, a great way to check out the sites is a "Go Car" tour - office at the corner of Mason & O'Farrell!! 2 blocks from hotel.

Hollyb May 17, 2009
Great location to San Francisco's public transportation. We stayed in an urban suite which was well decorated and had a very ... comfortable bed. Room was spotless each day after maid service. There was also a small refrigerator to store drinks, etc. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Sophie and Wilmer. Attached Italian restaurant had good food and a very reasonable happy hour. Coffee maker in room, but the hotel had great coffee and hot tea in lobby each morning. We really enjoyed our stay and the intimate size of the hotel.

Really enjoyed Cafe' Mason for sit down breakfast and the Barbary Coast for a quick "grab and go" breakfast. On the Wharf, we liked Tarantino's for the wonderful view, great drinks and good food. In Sausalito, enjoyed Horizon's for the view and yummy lunch.

We loved it !
heli May 10, 2009
We booked a queen room via internet cause it was a good deal. When we arrived at the hotel, a really nice lady who checked us ... in upgraded our room to a king room without additional cost. We loved the room. But after 20 minutes in the room, we realized there was a loud noise, sounded like an a/c or a fan, came from the roof or somewhere (we didn't know what it was). So we called the front desk, and they immediately moved us into a suite room! wonderful! The staffs were very friendly, the room was super clean, we loved the big flat screen tv, and the location was perfect, you can't get any better than this, close to union square, mall, shops, restaurants, and all public transportation (we've been to SF before and from our experience we decided not to drive this time and it was so much better that we didn't have to drive or to park). You can take bus, train, cable car, or street car that goes to all sightseeing places. Bottom line, our trip this time was perfect and we love Hotel Abri, we definitely will come back.

Great bang for the buck!
Sophia Jan 1, 2009
My boyfriend and I stayed here for New Year's Eve and we had a great time! From the moment we pulled up to valet to the time ... we left, the service was impeccable, the staff was very friendly and accommadating! For the price, it completley exceeded my expectations! I've stayed at other nearby boutique hotels for the same price if not more, and Hotel Abri definitely stands above and apart from the rest. They had yummy toileries and soft bath robes that I had fun lounging in. Location is great too, we walked everywhere. The only thing negative I would say was that the valet price/overnight parking was a little more than I would've liked but, the service I got with it made up for it. And I would get a room away from the city view. You don't get much of a city view anyway and it can be loud from the street noise, but then again it WAS New Year's. afterall. Overall, the staff made my stay very conveniant and easy. I will definitley stay here again!
