Awesome Experience
JRock Sep 14, 2009
I was extremely happy with the staff and accomodations. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Belamar. The room was ... not huge, but it was clean and the ipod docking station was nice surprise. The little things like having nice, clean robes to use and delicious teas out in the lobby with fresh baked cookies every afternoon really added a sense of fun to the place. The food was superb and the happy hour was a good bargain, as was the complimentary valet parking. I would highly recommend this hotel. The fact that it is less than 10 minutes from LAX didn't hurt, either!!

Great Luxury Hotel
Linda Sep 9, 2009
My boyfriend and I were more than happy with Belamar. We got a great deal on this hotel from Orbitz. The hotel was trendy ... and very comfortable. They provided complimentary valet parking for guests and their shampoo/conditioner/lotion was from L'Occitane. They are also located just under 2 miles from the beach. You can rent a bicycle from the hotel and ride it down to the beach which is far better than trying to find parking. This is a great amentity since renting a bicycle right on the beach can get pretty pricey. Overall experience... I would stay at the hotel again.

everything about the Belamar was perfect..until after the wedding the guests went to the bar upstairs that was promised would ... be open til 2am...and the manager closed it at midnight- took away the drinks we'd paid for..the barmaid was rude and grumpy..the hotel lost at least a $1000 revenue. we were surprized and angry

The hotel is small (only 3 floors) which I liked. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The staff was very friendly. ... Only a couple of minutes away from the airport and about 30 minutes away from Hollywood and other attractions. Enjoyed going to the Manhattan Village which is practically right next door.

Room wasn't ready for check I till 5pm and 2 other people were waiting for the same thing in front of me. Also when we got ... our room, the trash had not been emptied out and the room wasn't clean. The bathroom door is so crooked that it wouldn't close unless u slam it and so was the front door that if u close the door, u could see the hallway. The 2nd night we left the room and came back @ 8pm to get ready and change but room service was just then starting to clean our room, r u serious 8pm? The beach is not that close, but that's not the hotels fault.

Jayne Jun 27, 2009
We actually did not take advantage of any of the services the hotel had to offer with the exception of the fitness room as we ... were there visiting family who live 1/2 mile from the hotel. The one thing we used, the fitness room was okay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The one thing we found annoying was the fan constantly running in the bathroom which is a hotel thing throughout. Very noisy.

Excelent for business
Lútsen Jun 23, 2009
On a business trip I don't like airport hotels to much. This Hotel is located +/- 5 minutes from the airport but isn't an ... airport Hotel. The Hotel is also located nearby a shoppingmall with some nice shops. They have luxury rooms and the interiour is well designed and very clean. Because I was in LA for business I didn't use other facilities than my bedroom.

Take a cab from the airport to the hotel. The super shuttle did cost USD 37 for two persons, the cab (back to the airport) only USD 20.

LMJ Jun 17, 2009
This hotel is a great spot for lax travelers. I first learned about this hotel from Orbitz and am glad that I tried it. The ... hotel is just minutes from LAX rental cars(even with traffic) and blocks from Manhattan Beach and main street. Additional shopping and dining is right across the street. The beds were comfortable with quality linens. The onsite bistro style cafe has good food and service with excellent happy hour food and drink prices. Free valet parking and a free business center were a big plus. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Low-key, but excellent.
Business Traveler Jun 9, 2009
My trip to LA was almost entirely business, but staying at the Belamar was an excellent experience. The hotel itself was ... clean, quiet and very comfortable. I can't speak to any of the 'extras' offerd by the hotel: I never ventured to the pool or any of the other offers at the hotel. I can say that the room was very nice and the staff was very friendly. I did take a few minutes to roam from the hotel down to the beach. I would say it's a 1-2 mile drive, but worth taking. The beach area has a lot of character and is very beautiful. There's quite a few other things around the hotel was well: resturants in shopping areas, bookstores, two malls, and the like. That made finding a decent dinner fairly easy - though the best dinner I had was the take-out pizza from one of the beach-area places, eaten on the beach itself around sunset. Very nice.

Stayed for business and continued trough the weekend for fun. Close to airport and also to shops/restaurants and the beach. ... Very easy to drive along the coast to other beach towns. Very well located. Did have a poor start; first room had stains on the carpet, clogged sink, noisey air conditioner. When requested a change the staff was very quick to respond and very helpful in getting us another room. All of the staff working in the hotel from the front desk, the valet, and the bar were very nice and helpful. Overall the stay was great! Would return to this hotel.
