Wonderful Family Vacation!!!
Nana Wade Nov 16, 2009
My family and I had a great time. Visited 3 of the parks at Walt Disney and had no problems getting from place to place, ... thanks to the Disney buses. We really enjoyed our stay at the All Star Movie hotel and everyone was very friendly and nice. Can not wait to go back. Many wonderful memories.

If you are going to the Magic Kingdom it is fastest to take the bus. If you are traveling to the other parks and plan on staying late, it is often faster to take your car as parking is free if you are staying on property!

The food is not so friendly, the menu is not very rich, and be sure that you have the free meal plan or some thing like that, because U$12 per a omelet and a begal is ridiculous.

Inexpensive Family Getaway
The6Andersons Oct 26, 2009
Disney All Star Movies resort afforded us the ability to stay on Disney property at a low cost, but still in a great ... location. The rooms were a little dated and small, but clean and had a lovely staff. We missed having an in room microwave and refrigerator, but we found that we could order the fridge and there was a microwave in the dining area. All in all, for the cost and convenience, it was great!

It was not a pleasant experience. When I arrived there was standing dirty water in the bathtub and happened again every ... night we stayed in the room. The sheets were not made to the bed and would be off the mattress. It made me feel that the room was not clean and I felt very uncomfortable with the surroundings.

Fine enough
Leo Sep 7, 2009
The hotel was just fine. Nothing really wow. The weak points were the food, because there were always the same options. And ... the fact it was the last hotel in the bus way, then part of the time, mainly at night, we had to wait for many stops until getting in to our hotel. After all, the hotel was fine. The Disney system for travelers is amazing; no worries with luggage, as soon as we returned at night to our room the luggage were there perfectly. And to leave the hotel was the same thing, we did the check-in at the hotel lobby, and we put our hands in our luggage only in our city. Very bad point about booking package outside Disney website is that the meal plan, which is given to those who stay inside of the Disney Resorts, is not available for other then Disney website booking, so then we spent couple of hundreds eating the not so vary menu without the chance to use the free meal plan given for those that bought at Disney website. Even if you are staying in the same package than Disney, inside Disney, you do not have this benefit, which was very bad.

I hadn't been to disney world since I was 17. Really didn't remember much (eleven years ago!). This was first time for my six ... year old and my husband. The ALL STARS MOVIE HOTEL was perfect for our short vacation. We stayed for 3 nights and were assigned to the Fantasia room. The staff was friendly...loved getting our boarding passes delivered to our room! The hotel had a great pool open til late. Also, the food court had good food. Our first day there it was rainy but luckily the hotel has a great arcade that entertained us until the pool could reopen after the storm. Also, the magical express service and shuttles to the parks were very convienent. If we go back, we would consider staying here again.

The trip was great! It was our daughter's 4th birthday. The only problem was that the AC did not cool correctly and the room ... was very uncomfortable temp. wise. It gets rather warm in Florida in July. Other than the AC, the room and hotel was perfect. If we return in the future I will stay there or another All Star resorts

We weren't at the hotel much. I wish we would've been warned up front that Downtown Disney Restaurants fill up quickly, ... unless you make a reservation more than 2 hours ahead of time. I wish the the group of 900 Brazilians (staying at our hotel) would have chartered their own bus, so we didn't have to wait an hour to get home from one of the parks. Overall the decor, and food were good. the service was great! We'll be back.

Avoid All-Star Resorts
JAO May 27, 2009
Extremely understaffed. took forever to check in. Took forever to get lousy food in food court. Cancelled rollaway, since ... it didn't show up and was assured it was off my bill. received bill last day and rollaway was on it for ALL nights! Front desk told me two different things for bus pick up (magical express to airport).... It was awful. Had to stand in very long lines for unknowledgeable people.

Hint --- completely avoid all star resorts. Couldn't even pick up park tickets there with my Orbitz "will call" receipt. Had to stand in line and sweat for an hour at the park.

It's very convenient to stay at a Disney property--the transportation is great and all the Disney stuff is on full display so ... even if you don't get to all the parks, you get the Disney experience. Although this is one of the cheapest ways to stay on Disney property, I didn't think it was worth it. The rooms were ... extremely small! The hotel attracts large groups of traveling ball teams. The noise at night was ridiculous--yelling, slamming doors, screaming,etc... We had to call security regarding noise both nights we were there. The pool was nice and the kids were intrigued by the big characters, so it wasn't a total loss! I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Traveling Elf Mar 9, 2009
This was not my first choice of a Disney resort to stay at, but I was traveling with a friend who wanted to stay as cheaply ... as possible on property. The rooms were definitely inexpensive when compared to others at Disney. For me, the resort had too many cons against it and I doubt I would stay there again. Starting with the hotel itself, it is probably one of the farthest from the Magic Kingdom. The wait for a bus at the resort was never very long, but the wait to get a bus back could be quite long. One night we had to wait for 4 buses to load the others in front of us in line while we watched buses for the other resorts pull away nearly empty. The resort is very cheesy. We stayed in one of the Love Bug buildings which has large VW beetles sticking out of it. Cute and kitschy. I had read that these buildings were the quietest because they are the farthest out, but most nights we endured about an hour of very loud talking, chanting and screaming from the youth groups staying in our area. The standard room was small with two double beds. I was surprised the beds were only double beds, so it may be a tight squeeze for a family of four to stay there. The bathroom area is separated with the shower and toilet in an enclosed room and the sink in the main room. Luckily my daughter is a heavy sleeper, but if you needed to do anything in the sink area there was no way to block the light from the main room. The room also seemed dated and could use an update, ie new carpet, tile, etc. There is no wireless internet access. You can plug into their system through an access point on the single nightstand for around $10 for 24 hours of access. It was too cold to use the pool most days we were there, but it looked very nice and large. Also had a separate toddler splash pool which is a nice detail.
