Excellent location for convenience
Dec1Mom Nov 25, 2009
We chose Disney's Contemporary Resort for it's close proximity to the Magic Kingdom. We were traveling with two 3-year-old ... little girls and needed to take into consideration naptime, etc. It was great to be able to walk back and forth between the hotel and the park which saved time and allowed the kids to rest longer. Therefore, no cranky kids. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We also enjoyed the fact that a monorail stop was in the hotel which was a big help when it started to rain and we had to make it to the park in time for an evening reservation. A couple of negatives: the building a was not very soundproof and we could hear children running in the halls and noise from the room above us. The restaurants in the hotel filled up quickly for breakfast which left only quick-service as a late breakfast option which was okay at best and overpriced considering the quality. A guest would be best served to make dining reservations very early when planning their trip since no special considerations are given to guests actually staying in the hotel. We enjoyed the shops in the hotel which allowed one of us to enjoy a brief time shopping while the other stayed with the sleeping kids in the room. We can't stress the overall convenience factor enough and plan to choose this resort again on our next trip to Disney World.

Excellent Location, Perfect Getaway
Sarah Oct 3, 2009
My boyfriend and I decided to stay here for my birthday weekend and it was an excellent choice! We stayed here because of the ... location and convenience of having the monorail go right to the Magic Kingdom. Upon booking the hotel, we were a little disappointed that we couldn't get the cheapest room because they were booked, but we went with a Garden View room for $230. When we checked in yesterday, the concierge notified us that we had been upgraded to a tower room on the 7th floor with a Bay Lake view!! We were so ecstatic and it was a great way to top off my birthday. The staff was extremely friendly, helping us in every way they could, and the rooms were so spacious and comfortable! The convenience of the monorail is priceless too! Def would recommend to anyone, well worth the money!!!

Contemporary Resort Tower - 5 stars!
hotboaterh20 Jul 13, 2009
We enjoyed the Comptemporary Resort Tower. This was our 4th trip to Disney. This was our favorite place to stay yet. The ... location & service cannot be beat!!!. Great pool with slide & mini brand new mini waterpark, great game room. Food was pricey, but the room did have a fridge to save money. We were allowed a very early check in. We stayed on th 9th floor overlooking Bay Lake & Pool. Awesome view! I did get a little noisey early the mornings, but not bad enough to complain. Disney is a busy place. We will stay here again, hopefully soon!

Magical Experience
PBU Jun 9, 2009
Beautiful Hotel, great location and having the monorail passing through the Lobby was great! the room were great so ... confortable and cozy with a great view. I know is price but is worth the experience everybody is in a magical mood. Only thing I kind of disagree is about the breakfast, if you are paying so much for a 5 stars hotel they could at least give you a free continental breakfast and if you want the breakfast with mickey and friends then you will pay for it. The breakfast still not a big deal food wise but is a nice experience to be with all of disney's characters together. Make sure you make your reservations for everything because when you get there everything is packed and the reservations department is not very helpfull they have some kind of cranky old ladies working there that would not try to help at all, take the breakfast with mickey and I highly recomend the restaurant on the 15th floor to watch the fireworks, food is amazing and you can see the castle and the whole show. overall was a great experience.

High price, dated decor.
Carolee Jan 3, 2009
We may have been expecting too much based on the very high price, but we were disappointed with the drab room and the ... nondescript beach and pool area. We did like The Wave restaurant at the Contemporary Resort. The food was good, and the waitress a delight. A lot could be done with this resort by introducing some color! The rooms had lovely marble and wood, but the decor was neutral, neutral and neutral.

Great Location
Michael Dec 31, 2008
The location is great. The monorail is nice, but you have to change at the main station to go to Epcot, which can be ... confusing. The rooms are quite large, Hi-Def TV, but you get two Queen beds, which is great for a family, but kinda awkward if it is just two of you. The options to eat are limited, but very excellent. The bar is very cool, but closes early. I would stay here again if I come back with my family.

Perfect for our family.
Anna Dec 24, 2008
This was our families first visit to disney world. The Disney Contemporary Resort was the beginning of our magical ... experience. Our kids loved seeing the monorail inside the hotel everyday, and being able to get off and on the monorail in our hotel was great. Our room was very spacious as well as the bathroom. The tv was a beautiful flat screen and having a refrigerator was great for the kids drinks and such. The pool area was spectacular with an awesome slide. We will stay longer next time to enjoy this part of the contmeporary more. The dining was great too. There where a couple of really nice restaurants with great food, quick service dining which was perfect for my family. We ate there a lot and it was very easy with a lot of choices, even soy milk for my milk allergic child. We loved the Contemporary and will definitely return.

My review of Disney's Contemporary Resort
Lisa Nov 21, 2008
The Contempary was renovated since I have last been there it was very tastefully done. My only complaint was check in was ... slow and disorganized even though there were very few people checking in, I would not want to be there during busy times. It took aprox 30 minutes to check in. We had prepurchased tickets which we had to go to another counter and wait another 20 minutes before we were helped. Beside check in over all the stay was good.

convenient location
James Jun 7, 2007
My 85 year old mother and I stayed at the Contemporary resort for the first time. The location and convenience to all Disney ... theme parks was the primary reason and it was an excellent choice for this reason alone. Our room was very nice and very clean. We stayed in one of the garden wings and this was a little hard to get to. If I had it to do over again, I would pay the extra to stay in the main tower. The only complaint I had was that the restaurants were not open late enough and the carpet needs replacing in the hallways. Otherwise it is an excellent hotel, even though it is high priced.
