Nice stay
Disney Fanatic Nov 21, 2009
Overall the hotel was a great value. The room was clean and the pool was nice. The buses were convenient. The only complaint ... was that the hotel was practically empty but they put us in a room really far away that faced the woods. I don't know why they couldn't just put us closer given they were no where near capacity, but since we were only there 3 nights (and checked in the middle of the first night), we didn't complain. Definitely would have if it was a longer stay...it just made no sense. Other than that, the hotel was great overall.

This trip was all about Disney! We did all four parks (Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot & Disney Hollywood Studios) plus ... Downtown Disney. It was a lot in a few days but the buses to/from the hotel and parks made it easy. The staff assisted in planning the trips and it all came together.

Fantastic experience. The staff was friendly. Very attentive to all of our requests. It's not a fancy hotel, but you can't ... beat the price. Basic hotel, the staff made the stay great! Disney's transportation is fabulous. You don't need a car.

A Great Experience!
Marketing Girl Oct 29, 2009
We stayed here for only one night, but my son LOVED it! He didn't want to stop "investigating" every part of this hotel. And ... when the day was all over and it was time to head back to our home he asked "Mommy, can we go to the basketball room now? I been a good boy." It was SUPER sweet! Thanks Disney for another great experience!

Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
JLP Oct 27, 2009
Great hotel in the Disney Resort! Free shuttle buses directly to & from all the Disney Parks. Also since we were staying ... within the Disney Resort, each day one of the theme parks was open for extended hours for us. Super-friendly staff especially to our 20 month old daughter. She enjoyed walking around the resort (tennis court with statues of Donald Duck and nephews). Great food at the cafe...not as expensive as I expected. Only negatives I can think of... a mini-frig costs an extra $10.50 per day (so we used a cooler) and my husband did not like the coffee in the cafe.

Not quite Disney, but daughter was happy
Disney Family Oct 26, 2009
Stayed overnight as part of our birthday celebration. We are accustomed to quite a lot of special attention at Disney on ... special occasions. No one took notice of the birthday pin. The housekeeper did provide a surprise bag of candy which was greatly appreciated. With kids, it is the small things. The ketchup dispenser blew up on me first thing in the morning and literally covered my windbreaker. The manager was summoned and swapped out a Disney sweatshirt for the windbreaker which was nice as it was my only jacket for the trip. The football field was fun and the pool well maintained. I just found the staff lacking in what I have come to expect from very attentive Disney staff, not unpleasant, simply not "Disney".

Good location and covers the necessities
Dragon boater Oct 20, 2009
There are no fresh foods such as fruit that were available. Food is mass produced for a cafeteria style of food. It was a ... convient location for the dragon boaat regatta. Shuttles were good.I had a horrible experience at the Disney Magical Bus Counter as they had no record of my reservation. [...] It could have been a very ugly outcome.
Traveler type: Friends
There wasn't a direct route to get from the theme park to Downtown Disney. You had to take a bus to the closest hotel to catch the shutttle to take it downtown.

DISNEY WEEKEND
mom23bz Oct 19, 2009
I have stayed at many disney hotels. Although this is a value hotel and the rooms are smaller, if you are spending most of ... your days at the park, this is great. The shuttle to the park is so helpful. The selection for breakfast was great and if you get an early start, you can beat the crowds. The dinner selection wasnt so great but you can always take the shuttle to another hotel or downtown disney to eat. It was my sons birthday and everyone we saw said happy birthday to him.

It was a really great hotel, very colorful and had all the Disney charm you expect. The only issue I had is that the walls ... are thin so you could hear when you next door neighbor flushed the toilet!

Naomi Sep 20, 2009
The rooms where the same set up as the medium priced Disney rooms. So what is the difference in resorts? Just the price, ... the Sports Resort was super kid and family friendly and my son loved the football field. We actually felt more at home with the atmosphere, then with the medium priced resorts.
Traveler type: Family
The only thing I would change is on sight dining selection. There is only so much cafeteria style Disney food one can consume. We rented a car so our choices where much broader than the average Disney guest. Rent a car so you have selection with meals.

Wonderful Vacation
Super Picky Mom Aug 21, 2009
I understand that it was a resort and the convenience of the Disney buses to and from the parks and downtown was great. ... However, I did not like that I was so far away from stores for convenience. If you needed anything you were supposed to visit the gift shop which was not convenient because everything wasn't offered. The gift shop opened at 8am, if you were taking advantage of Magic Hours you were up and out before the store opened. We grew rather tired of the food offerings in the food court because the menu was limited and resorted to eating at the parks more-which turned out to be more expensive. Next time I will rent a car for better accessibility. Otherwise the hotel was AWESOME and CLEAN being that it was a value resort.

Not fancy, but you don't usually spend a lot of time in the hotel room when at Disney. The rooms were clean and functional ... and the price was great to be on a Disney property with complimentary transportation to the parks. Great value in the cafeteria with the beverage cup that can be refilled unlimitedly for the length of your stay.
