disney disappointed Dec 14, 2009
The hotel itself is great. The problem was that they put us in the furthest away building where there were pop warner teams ... staying. The only parking for this building was blocked off for the buses that pop warner brought. the children ran rampant until about 2:30am and the security said they could do nothing. I would really like my money back as I got no sleep. when talking to the manager about the parking she did not argue that she was catering to the group and not the individual family beacause they brought in the most money.

This is not the place to stay if you do not want to be surrounded by thousand to screeming little cheerleaders.

A great place to stay, especially if you are planning on spending alot of time in the parks and not too much time in your ... room. The room is small, but for the two of us was fine. The king sized bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The whole resort was spotless. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked to stay in either the Calypso or Jazz buildings as they are closest to the restaurant and bus transportation. The restaurant does not have a ton of choices and not many too healthy, but reasonably priced. We brought granola bars and fruit with us and that helped bring down the cost. We did go to the Hoop Dee Doo dinner show and had a great time. The food was great and the show entertaining.

The hotel was a value Disney hotel, so of course there really wasn't alot of luxury but the room was very clean. However the ... beds were hard and somewhat uncomfortable, the sheets and bedding kinda cheap and rough. It was a long walk from the parking lot to the room, which after walking around magic kingdom all day didn't make us too happy. The food served in the cafeteria style Melody Hall was surprisingly good but expensive of course. I would stay again simply because the price was right and it is on the Disney property which is nice to avoid the horrors of International Drive.

Great Value, Great Hotel
M & J Oct 19, 2009
We had a nice stay at this great hotel. As a Disney hotel, you have all the amenities of Disney at your fingertips, good ... food, fun pool and wonderful transportation system. For a couple at Disney for the weekend, this was a comfortable place to come back to at the end of a long day at the parks. These are not luxury rooms and are on the small side, but they are spotless and very well maintained. The staff is wonderful, and the phone never rings more than twice before some answers ( usually are REAL person).
Traveler type: Couples
If you are a couple like us, try to eat later, after the families with kids head for bed. Although the Fireworks are unbelievable, if you leave early, you avoid a long wait for the bus back to your hotel. One family had to wait over an hour for a bus due to the croud, not something you want to do with two or three tired kids.

Traveling KJ Oct 11, 2009
All Star Music is a great place to find kid friendly experiences and decently priced rooms for those looking to travel to ... Disney World on a budget. The rooms may be a bit small, but honestly, how often are you in your hotel room when traveling to Disney? The theme-ing ranges from Calypso to Country to Broadway to Rock music. The main building, Melody Hall, is where you will find the check-in desk, food court and Maestro Mickey's gift shop. The staff is more than helpful. The Mousekeeping (housekeeping) is wonderful. Clean rooms with some extras. I would come back from my day out and find hand towels twisted and molded into a bird, a butterfly, an elephant or even a Minnie Mouse! My friends, who were staying down the road at Coronado Springs, were jealous. I love the All Star Resorts. There is truly something for everyone.

We never felt the need to be the first ones in the park. By heading out to the hotels after 10 AM, there was not such a long wait for busses. We also used the water taxi's when available rather than the busses. If you are not in a rush to get someplace, it was a relaxing commute.

If you stay at a Disney resort, you can take advantage of extended park hours. This allows you to chill at the hotel during the hottest part of the day and do all of the fun rides when the parks are least crowded.
--Disney Daddio, New York Aug 29, 2009
The popular attractions at the parks will get LONG stand-by lines quickly so....if there are still fast passes available for a desired ride, get those as soon as you enter the park, even if you still have to wait to enter. The number of fast passes distibuted for certain attractions are limited too so...get them while you can!!
