Great Hotel
The Man Nov 9, 2009
Couldn't be in a better location! We traveled all over DC and the easiest way to do that is by taking the Metro, and there ... was a station right across the street. The staff was very helpful. They were quick to resolve some minor problems. The rooms offered a great view of the city. Arlington National Cemetery and the Iwo Jima memorial were within walking distance. They offer valet parking for $21 or self parking for $17. Although I don't reccomend eating at the hotels restaraunt- it's quite expensive. The wireless internet was not free in the rooms. It was 9.99 for 24hrs. Although it was free in the lobby. Up the street there was a sub shop called Oak St sub shop which was amazing! I would eat there every day if I could. I would stay in this hotel again. The best part was the location like I said before. The metro station was across the street, and you weren't dealing with the hustle and bustle of DC.

Great location for DC tourist
AZKate Oct 13, 2009
We spent 4 days seeing the sites of DC and found this hotel to be just right for us. The metro is across the street and on ... the line we used the most. The room was very neat and in what I call the current hotel chic design: dark wood, minimalist, rather masculine decor. TV did not get full range of stations we would have liked. Noise from hallway was a bit loud but we were at the end of the hall so it didn't matter that much. We only had one meal in the restaurant (Sunday breakfast) - service was slow and a bit disorganized. These were not major problems. The front desk and door staff were efficient and very helpful.

The bad, the ugly, and nothing good came
Archana Vahalia Aug 17, 2009
At around mid night, a party started in room opposite ours. There were too many peole in one room and they were making lot ... of noise. We called the front desk, the noise continued. We had to call again, then the front desk operator told us that the person is busy could not go up to check and they have received other calls as well. After a while the noise became tolerable, banging of the doors continued. In the morning again there was a lot of noise, not as much though. We went downstairs to check. The manager, [...] did not greet us, there wa very polite receptionsit at the desk. She said good morning. We explained everything to her. She offered us breakfast and said because we had booked the room through third party vendor they can't do anything more. We requested to talk tot he manger. Gino comes out, not polite at all, very curt and said can't do much, if there was another call made only then those guests would have been thrown out. He offered that may be he can lower our rates if wanted to stay next time. He was not polite or courteous at all. Teh experience was so bad.

Bad Service, Comfy Room
Frustrated Honeymooner Aug 5, 2009
When we checked in the man who greeted us was very friendly and when we mentioned it was our honeymoon he was more than kind ... in his accommodations. We had a room on the top floor, which was the business suites however we were surprised to see how small even the most expensive rooms were. The bed was large, and took up nearly the whole room. Breakfast was nice, however not worth the price. We had "waitresses" who didn't do anything at all but bring us the check as it was a buffet, and made a scene when we did not tip her 15%. This woman didn't even pour us drinks, why would we give her a $5 tip? For the most part the hotel was quiet but we got a room right by the ice machine and could hear everyone that came around. The best part of the hotel was the view and the fact that we spent the greater portion of our time touring DC.

Lots of casual restaurants to go to. The nightlife is alive and well nearby - there are a lot of bars that the students seem to enjoy. Very close to D.C.

--DC Dawson, Middletown DE Jun 29, 2009
The Metro Station is just across the street from the hotel...however the front doors are on the other side of the block...so you'll walk about 2 blocks to get in the front doors. There is a back door that is accessible from the parking garage and can cut your walk almost in half. It is a locked after 9:00 pm at night.

--Jonathan, Metairie, LA Dec 30, 2008
The Roslynn Metro stop was literally across the street, with a small multi-story mall attached containing a deli, Commuter store, bank ATMs,pharmacy and shops. Other restaurants were only blocks away, and the walk was pleasant and safe.
--Sandra, Cason City, NV Dec 28, 2008
There is a Chinese restaurant which will deliver take out. We find this out from sources other than the hotel staff. There are food outlets and restaurants nearby within walking distance. However, because the Hotel is located amidst office buildings, many of these facilities close early except big restaurants like Tuesday Ruby.
--Yiu Chi, Vancouver Dec 18, 2008
Metro is less than a block away. Convenient to restaurants on Wilson Blvd
--Antonio, Warwick Nov 19, 2008
Though a longer walk up Wilson Boulevard will yield more food options, a short walk (7 minute) walk will put you in front of Cafe Asia which serves good noodles, dumplings and such.
